Damn missed the game
Looked only marginally offside if so ..!?
Good finish nonetheless
Taremi claims his feet and the opposition's feet are on the same line. IMO should not have been offside, but these kind of calls usually go in favor of the bigger teams. What do you guys think?
I already brought this up in an earlier post. His feet are on side, but his arm/shoulder are not. It depends what part of the body VAR refs consider to be offside. I agree with Taremi, but you can imagine that a VAR ref can split this however way he/she wants. VAR may be an improvement, but it's also another way to potentially skew a very close call.
Goal was 100% offside
Very nice one but he leaned forward a bit too much
We've seen this a few times this season. VAR ruling goals out because any part of the attackers body, including hands and/or arms, are beyond that of the last defender. Yes you can't score with them but they are trying to make an exact science of something that clearly has shades of grey.
There are times where the margin is so tight and the movement is so quick that you can argue an element of doubt in whether VAR is accurately judging the moment the ball is being kicked. Personally I think's it's silly and there needs to be an immediate rethink. Goals add much to the entertainment value of games and the attacking players are continually getting the raw end of the deal on VAR offside decisions.
Technology was brought in to reduce the amount of controversy... yet we're still getting it with VAR.
VAR does ruin a lot of goal celebrations. Whether the goal stands or not, takes away from the excitement.
I think offside rule should change to count the front foot. Too many goals are being called off for a hair extending forward.
.... At the end I am nothing other than ordinary
