Their team-mate, Ilaimaharitra, was abused racially by the mechelen fans. The only thing the referee did was to give Ilaimaharitra a yellow card for complaining when the game was over.

Edit: it's actually worse, the player told the referee during the game that he could hear fans making monkey sounds when he was touching the ball. The game went on, after the final whistle, Ilaimaharitra saw a fan making the nazi salute, went again to the referee and got a yellow. What a nice day for football after what happened with Balotelli earlier.

dont want to overshadow these shitty events, but even Gholi himself was involved in racial incident when he was enterring belgium following move from Iran. They detained him for some hours at the airport because he had a much fuller beard than in his Passport Pic, and even when he pulled himself up on his phone they werent having it. Mazzu had to actually contact them I remember.
