negotiations continue. Carlo Osti (sampdoria Sporting director) is still trying to lower fee. Im not sure what Trab have to gain keeping him. He hasnt even been there first choice in recent months, new coach gave his ok for his sale to boost funds for other key additions, and even a fee of 2 mil represents a more than 2x increase on the 750k they paid for him. An additional sell on clause of 10-15 % would also probably land them a few mil at least, even if majids next move after sampdoria isnt a blockbuster one (obviously could be much more if it is).

According to other reports there is no hesitation on majids part who is happy to move there.

I think it's best Majid moves on from Trabzonspor and starts a new project at Italy under Claudio Ranieri who will take his football to the next dimension and learn newer things tactically/defensively in Italy.

Trabzonspor will be a gamble next season under Eddie Newton because he does not have much experience and a CV in a managerial position compared to Ranieri (besides being an assistant primarily for teams like MK Dons, WBA, and Chelsea).

Trabzonspor are also looking to sell a majority of their players (besides Majid to Sampdoria) such as Ömür to Milan/Atalanta, Çakır to top-6 in England, Sörloth to Leipzig, and Ekuban to Al-Hilal.

negotiations continue with sampdoria. There is some movement on their end with starting cb Omar Colley now subject of 8.5 mil EU bid from CL bound Rennes. There is still interest from celtic, newcastle, burnley, and another english side for his services. IF he leaves it could expedite majid deal.

There is also some rumors that Sampdoria could look to arrange some sort of swap with trabzonspor for their CM jakub jankto. a 2 year loan for him at trabzonspor with majid moving the other way permanently was mentioned. Not sure how much truth there is to that.

In more definitive news Trab officially completed signing of CB yordan osorio. He was at zenit last season on loan from porto. They are also close to a deal for brazilian Cb victor hugo. This means they would go into next season with those two, hussein turkmen, and gaston campi as the 4cbs.

I think its pretty certain now they see majid as a sellable asset with 1 yr left on contract. They have already brought in qualified replacements so now we have to wait and see where majid ends up.

Belgian league is technically weaker than the Turkish league in coefficient, but way better scouted. I still think holding out for a top 4 league is best
