"Who is Hosseini, the Iranian defender who can replace Colley

Who is Majid Hosseini, the Iranian defender born in 1996 who teases the fantasies of Sampdoria for next season

The Sampdoria has initiated contacts with Trabzonspor for the transfer of Majid Hosseini , Iranian defender '96 class ready to leap after raising at the end of the season, the Turkish Cup. The cost of 5 million euros is currently holding back the Sampdoria, willing to offer 1.5 million euros in consideration of the contract expiring in 2021. If the parties arrive at a meeting point, for Sampdoria it would be a significant addition for the rear.

Hosseini is the prototype of a physical defender who does not pay too much attention to the quality of the plays. Skilled in aerial play and with enormous ability in intercepting offensive maneuvers, the Iranian guarantees substance and reliability to his teammate. And Sampdoria thinks about it, in the event of the sale of Omar Colley."

          5 million Euro
Trabzonspor Club President Ahmet Ağaoğlu also determined a 5 million Euro transfer fee for the 24-year-old player.

          28 matches 1 goal

Well that maks more sense if Colley is leaving. PL teams are interested in him.

1 of Yoshida+Tonelli as an experienced but slower cb could combine with any one of the younger, faster guys Majid, Ferrari, Chabot.

                "Sampdoria too persistent for Hosseini
                .
It will be sent if Majid Hosseini gets a good offer at the Black Sea representative . Coach Eddie Newton also approved the departure of the Iranian center-back. Sampdoria's coach Claudio Ranieri is very persistent in the transfer of the 24-year-old defender. Negotiations continue. The Italian team wants a discount of 5 million euros that Firtina wants.."

Even if they sell him for like 3.5 to 4 is a great deal they got him for 500k from Esteglal

5M for Hosseini with 1 year contract left? Trabzonspor is greedy.

Wow great move if it happens....Ranieri is a great coach and would love to see him in Serie A

Lots of players have transferred from Samp to bigger teams after good performances. Not sure how much of a ceiling Majid has but even staying at Samp would be a great career for a CB to play in Italy

He just turned 24 too. 2 good seasons in Samp, then 2 good seasons in a mid table team could see him end up in a CL level Serie A team in his prime

im not sure how close it is but I think the interest id definitely real and due to trabs willingness to sell and samp's longstanding interest since last summer I think they will probably agree a fee around 3 mil. But no I dont think its done yet judging by latest turkish reports.

Even 2 good yrs at Samp can see him at a better team. But he has to be consistent

Last 5yrs they have sold players to teams like ManUtd, Arsenal, West Ham, Inter, Roma, Milan, Sevilla, Villareal, Bremen
So its definitely one of those teams on the radar
