Just want to point out that the post about Majid Hosseini extending his contract on the persian football main page is false news.

He signed a 2+1 contract, Trabzonspor is just using the option for that extra year so he doesnt leave for a free this summer

No the option is with Majid, not with the club. The news is not true.

he needs to be careful not to tie himself to too many strings by extending with Trab .... i think there is a healthy bit of interest for his services from Serie A and other more prolific EU leagues( ... but most which are looking at him seriously so long its a cheap/free transfer..!

the option ofc is with majid, but that is not what OP was saying. Majid of course must agree to the extension, but it will be with the same terms previously agreed in the option.

I don't think he would extend only to make 600k euros.

well that gets into your inner thoughts. It is a contractual matter and if he is to extend it will be using his option.

I think he will end up extending for a year. Maybe situation would have been different if he hadnt struggled with injury, poor form, losing starting spot, and ofc coronavirus.

He needs to show himself properly for another year to prove his first good season wasnt just a fluke.

                      "Expiring contracts at Trabzonspor

Majid Hosseini: After a successful World Cup in Russia in summer 2018, the Iranian international came to the Black Sea for a transfer fee of 517,000 euros. The 23-year-old defender has played 53 games in Turkey, scoring two goals and one assist. At the start of the season, he started a remarkable 22 times from the start in the first 24 matches. However, he had to struggle with hip and groin problems, which in turn cost him his regular place afterwards. If he should return to his old strength, then those responsible will surely tend to stay, especially since the contract still has an option for another year."

"Last minute Majid Hosseini development in Trabzonspor

The Black Sea giant, who had lively days in domestic transfer, renegotiated with Sosa and Novak, whose contract ended at the end of the season, and acted for Majid Hosseini. Trabzonspor plans to activate the 1-year option of Iranian football player Hosseini.

Satisfied with Hosseini's performance, the technical delegation will activate the 1-year option of the Iranian football player. According to this, the Iranian stopper, who made a 2 + 1 year contract in 2018, will remain in the team next season. Management is planning to extend the contract formally in a short time.

Successful player also expressed his desire to stay in the team and said, "I am peaceful and happy here. My biggest wish is that this season Trabzonspor is the champion. Because we deserved this as a team."

The Iranian stopper, who played 25 games this season with the Trabzonspor form, left 1 goal for the rival nets."

Turkish source claims clubs from Italy and Germany are interested in Majid:

"Hosseini is the first target in Trabzonspor!

Trabzonspor takes action to use the extension option in the contract of the Iranian stopper with suitors from Germany and Italy

Trabzonspor gave priority to Majid Hosseini among the players who will end the season contract . The burgundy-blue people have taken action to use the option item in the 2 + 1 year contract of the Iranian stopper, who has suitors from Italy and Germany.

The 23-year-old footballer draws attention with his contribution to the success of the Black Sea team this season. Hosseini, who proved himself by playing in 25 games in the Super League last season, has attracted attention with his trustworthy appearance and on-site interventions, while he was able to play in 13 games in the league with the effect of his injury problems this season.

The player who survived his groin injury in March is expected to be one of the leading names in the Black Sea team, who also struggled for the championship for the rest of this season. (Nationality)"

I'm sorry to tell you this, but Fanatik isn't a reliable source. Turkish media are full of retard liars wanting to make headlines.

He has a year left on his contract after the extension. Assuming Trabzonspor will be in CL next year, I think him staying is good to attract better suitors to sign him on a free

Or they have extended his contract so he doesn’t leave on a free and they try and get a fee for him this summer.

Trabzonspor interested in extending Hosseini for 2 years:

"The storm is considering another contract for the Iranian stopper. Burgundy blues, who want to go for a renewal of 2 years, aim to strengthen their hand in case of a possible sale."

Turkish media state there is interest from a few clubs. 2 Italian, 2 Russian and 1 German:

"Majid Hosseini, who made a name for him with his successful performance in Iran as well as his form in Trabzonspor, has two teams from Italy and Russia and one team from Germany."
