3 years of a 4 year contract left. No Championship club could afford his wages. PSV probably baulked at his wages. Other Premier League clubs could and the top half of the clubs in la Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga only. Summer: Fenerbahçe and Galatasary ? Russia and China maybe?

AZ have done well selling both Janssen and Alireza Jahanbakhs. Maybe they can repair their stadium?

Odds on all the foreign clubs have already blown their transfer and their wages budget as well.

Prognosis: if BHA have given up on Jahanbakhs they will try and ship him out of subsidised wages in January.

By his own admission he has had an unexpected difficulty in English football. This will most likely be dealing with the intensity of the press. This is always seen with players returning from long injuries. Good British managers choose carefully the moment of their return. All is not lost. My best guess he would do better in the Swiss League though.

BHA play out of the press so this style makes it harder for him.

A Euro/CL league team in a weaker yet decent league would be good for him. Benfica/Porto/Zenit/Lyon maybe

All these could afford both a transfer fee and his wages. I think it might be easier to get into their teams if there are really easier games. And there is European football as well.

The Albion boss said he can understand why a player who is out of the frame would want to move on when the transfer window opens. But, while not ruling it out, he does not see that being the case with Jahanbakhsh in January.

He seriously needs to stfu.. You can't keep saying the guy is great he's a professional, hes committed, everyone loves him etc and exclude him from the squad week in week out! Honestly, They're in decent form (with a bit of luck) and not often do managers change winning teams but the least he can do is say that he will allow him to at least go on loan and to stop saying things change quickly he can play next week bla bla. Nothing hurts more than getting false hope and that's exactly what he's doing. If Alireza is committed and does his best in training in means that his best in Potter's eyes is not good enough so let him go already!!

Potterball seems more merit based than CH. It is unfair to replace goal scoring forwards with ones that don't when given more chances.

Goldson (since played 75+ times for Rangers) was sold off cheaply when he got injured and could not regain his place. So there isn't any past records of keeping players to their contract when they cannot get into the side.

Fair enough but has he given AJ ANY chance? referring to chances he was given last season (first season in the EPL) and in an extremely unfamiliar wing back role in an ultra defensive park the bus team ? From an outsider's point of view, the very least he could have done was give AJ a chance or two, the fact that he hasn't at all only indicates that he has no faith in his abilities ( I doubt there's a personal grudge as AJ is the nicest person on the planet and Potter doesn't seem to bad either), and if he has no faith in AJ then why keep repeating the whole let him fight for his chance, he's committed etc bs?

You need to calm down. If you have grievances with Potter, send him a letter or something. Writing in all CAPS and bold on this forum is just childish.

I remember not too long ago also reading some anti-semetic comments, probably in this very same thread.

I wish the mods were more proactive at warning people when it comes to this sort of behavior. It reflects poorly on us as a community.

I would not get too excited about "Potterball". The current "good form" (if you can call it that) has been mostly against bottom dwellers, with a bit of luck. The four wins have been against teams that have a combined record of 8-12-24 !!!!! Lets be honest, the team sucks. It lacks quality players in most positions. The only reason it is in mid-table is a bit of luck in getting an early easy draw and that EPL bottom rungs suck even more.

I would be surprised if they avoid relegation. But then again, the bottom of EPL may suck even more than Potterball, so may be there is a bit of hope.

We can say what we want but Potter has BHA playing much better then last season and they are getting results. He is not going to change things unless their form changes, which I still think it will at some point this season. The league is very tight and their situation could change quite quickly.

The reality is we don't see what happens day-in and day-out. It's not like Potter doesn't see him every day in training. He needs to leave ASAP, but we need to stop acting like its blasphemy and ARJ is the only player in the world subject to this treatment. And we also need to stop blaming ARJ - he made this decision based on what he thought was best and it didn't work out. None of us saw this coming. If he went to Leicester it may have been no different. Look at Iheanacho! Went from a great prospect at City to not even making the bench at Leicester. Then he starts in the league cup, scores and is still out of the squad.
