    Go TM!

      Very promising start for TM

I cannot ever remember us beating Syria by more than 1 goal no matter friendly or official game

This attacking style football is very much more like Irani style than always defensive play

        wow
        fantastic first game in charge
very impressive result, regardless of it being a friendly
i gotta run off to work
things are shaping up great ..... Lets just hope Taj/IFF manage to keep hashieh and typical iranian hasoodi, scandalous NoPay bs etc.... away from this guy's work..!! and allow him to focus on job alone...! big task that

is this Syria's worst defeat against Iran?

Looks like one of their biggest defeats in recent deceads? they have had 8-0 defeats back in the 50s (wiki)

This was a great start. A powerful first step for Wilmots. Of course, TM will not be able to play such an open attacking game against every team. Expect a different scheme against Korea on Tuesday. This game had everything! ARJ's first goal being another boost to his confidence, Mehdi's hat trick including a beautiful bicycle kick goal, and last but not least, Allahyar's first goal in his 10 minute debut for TM: a harbinger of great days to come!

Here are the highlights: https://video.varzesh3.com/video/193068 Enjoy!

              Go TM!

                        ARJ's goal (TM's first goal):

It's amazing what ARJ can do when he's IN THE BOX (hint, hint to BHA's new coach)!

I think this is a good confidence booster for all individual players and group play as a whole. We can clearly see that Marc Wilmots is happy with the way the team shows its intention and dictates its intention on the field. his reactions and interaction with the players (on the field and on the bench) are very good and active... example: after the goal, he goes and checks on Hosseini if he's ok.

now it doesn't matter if its Syria with their full team or not, what matters is how we play rather than being concerned if its the full team or not were playing against. And I do think the biggest challenge Marc Wilmots has in the future games (SK) and others, is the ability to have a balanced team tactic. He has to maintain the skeleton of the defensive superiority with the attack that he has planned for us to play.

We all should be thankful for all the hard work and all the grinding King Queiroz has put in in these 8 years because we have at least 2 top level players in each position, if not more! and now Wilmots is reaping the benefits of Queiroz's hard work.. and it is very acceptable and obviously we all knew in the end that TM will play a great game if only we would attack more, and combined with the great defense we had with CQ and an attacking minded coach we will see our Team Melli Thrive. But the road ahead is still going to be tough because we're in somewhat of a Transition stage, and disappointments will come along with happiness, and we all hope it'll be the latter instead of disappointments.

Thank you, Queiroz and welcome Wilmots!

As a fan of Carlos Quriouz the hereo of Iranian football it has suprised me that we won 5:0! By Carlos we would be only made 1 goal. His system was more defending

Now we will see South Korea

Thats what happens when our new coach doesn't have to spend 8 years on fixing our previous coaches mistakes.
