Fuck man, Mohammadi is so decent that he has equalled with Taremi in goals / assists while playing for a much worse team than Rio Ave.

And Aves fought hard but Benfica was going to win eventually.

As someone who has only ever seen highlights of his game can you explain why this is his weakness?

He has excellent final actions, as shown by awesome goal today and high number of assists too. In terms of overall play he can be a bit one dimensional and not good at really holding ball up and bringing others into play, making high iq desicions to effect tempo of game and create for others.

But he is underrated by many here, not sure why, he can still be a great weapon for tm off the bench.
He has searing pace, solid dribbling, and an excellent shot. His finish for the goal today was just really high class.

Coming off the bench he brings physique, hard running , speed in behind , and good set pieces and crosses. Those are great things to have coming off the bench late of vs tiring defenders.

His performances for aves alone have distinguished him significantly from the likes of amiri and ansarifard , who were playing his positions under wilmots. Those two should never be in squad again

Azmoun, kaveh, Mohammadi should be the 3 cf. with mehrdad also able to play wing instead of taremi or arj as a sub. Gholi is the other standout winger, but can also play 10 where saman should be main option.

Overall for front 4 positions taremi-azmoun-arj is standout trio with ghoddos in behind. Gholi is probably closest to breaking into xi. Kaveh and mehrdad very able back ups, subs, and occasional stsrters

Mehrdad is a prime example and evidence of the amount of raw talent we have in Iran. He was by no means a stand out in our league and takes a leap of faith works hard and look at where it gets him. He was of course always talented but he really proves to ppl why it’s important to go to Europe and develop (which he was late on doing btw).

JB was similar but much younger and look at how his career has progressed. Idk how many more pieces of evidence our players need there’s so many more.....

Plus, we need to give credit to CQ for fully encouraging this in all TM contenders. He always said that training in Europe was on a different level than training in Iran. All the legionnaires would return match ready, while the domestic players would have to get caught up with training camps.
