The Pacos won over Rio Ave last night has really dented any little hope at still that Aves has of staying up. 12 points off safety now with 9 games to go and they still have to play Porto, Benfica and Braga.

*Mehrdad subbed into the game on the 65th min.

Mehrdad brought a spark into the Aves offence and immediately made an impact. A little too late as they were already losing 2-0 and a man down. He had some nice touches and nearly scored off of a corner on the 91st.

Unfortunately, this team appears to be destined to relegate. They are now dead last in the standings and 7 points behind the second last team.

Pepe has not allowed Mohammadi any room to be dangerous in attack, though Mohammadi had a good dribble through half the Porto team, got fouled but referee did not call it. Also the player Tecatito (Jesus Corona) in this game is a very, very good player on Porto linked with Inter Milan!

Aves is playing a very good for a relegation side, Porto not so much for a “title contender”.
