Queiroz announces management team for Colombia (+ interview)

Refreshing to see how the Colombian media publicly announce their national team developments. I often felt like there was not enough transparency during CQ's tenure with Iran.

Soccer is like religion in Latin America. Here in the US, the MLS started in March but I have a tough time finding the games on 6 or 7 exclusive sports channels I have on TV. They are more likely to broadcast Poker, NASCAR or Golf when not showing the top 4 major league sports. Bottom line is, we should not be surprised at the availability of decent coaching staff in Colombia. The question that befuddles me is, why don't they hire someone from their own country at the helm? Maybe a cultural/social factor is involved, for instance their federation looking up to European trainers.

Sadly, the Colombians couldn't adapt to his defensive system, and it showed in the results. Word is he is moving onto coach South Africa now. https://sports.yahoo.com/south-afric...143415339.html

IFF should just fire Skokic, or convince him to be assistant coach and pay what we owe him and take CQ back while hes without a job.
Not that Skocic has done a terrible job, but CQ is CQ, send him our best Peykan, chelokabab and some flowers and do whatever it takes to get him to come back!
Tell Taremi, Nekounam and everybody else to call him and talk him over
It Wont happen but would be awsome if it did.

          # I believe that the Colombians saw their chance to get a high quality coach when they signed him. In the international stage, those coaches usually are sitting on long term contracts but this time one was free. But it also shows that as for players, its the same for coaches. One just sometimes doesnt match the team, no matter how good the team is or the player is, sometimes its not a match. Its the same in relations, work and football. So thats a reason to not compleatly bash a player/coach (expept probably Wilmotz) or a person after a failure or two..

Im sure CQ will make great things happen soon, and so will Colombia.
Hope to se CQ back in Iran before he gets to old to have the energy for the IFF hustle,

Per Carlos' personal instagram account, he is the new Egyptian national team head coach.
