Is he really on par with Sardar !?
hw is a few years younger. I would say he is a better finisher, but azmoun's link up play is better. Although azmoun is physically excellent this guy is probably a bit above just by virtue of being a natural beast.

Is he worth 2x the price is the real question, to which I think the answer is no.

Figured the tv ratings & as result the money from it would increase in light of fans absence & Severe shortage of live sports contents ..!??

But your right much much more than ticket sales & jersey/merchandise sales, TV right$ is the biggest source of income in top level football nowadays & a hit there will be felt all along the pipeline, including ridiculous Transfer fees we’ve been witnessing skyrocket these past 2 decades ..! Yet another big factor in the ridiculously inflated Transfer Fees has been the laundering of Illicit funds by the wealthy team owners through exuberant transfer fees ..!

Some light reading when you get bored:

There are going to be wild changes in tv rights the next few season as well for one other reason:
      - The possible takeover of any EPL club by the Saudis.
Saudis have been pirating BeIN Sports (Qatari owned) due to their petty vendetta. If the EPL allows the transaction, its basically a slap in the face of the Qataris and they will probably stop paying for the rights. They already have stopped paying Serie A as the Italians stupidly went and held the Italian Super Cup in Saudi.

Saudi is going to crap on world football the same way they've crapped on all Asian football as far back as we can remember. All so MBS can feel good about himself.

Didn't the WTO rule in favor of Qatar over BeinSports?

That honestly makes me happy because if he is gonna go to Italy or England he has to be physically stronger. Not that he wasn’t before but I remember the transformation Ibra went through and how much that HELPED him get the job done and score as a striker. I’m very glad to see Sardar putting in the time in the gym.

Bodybuilding is important when it comes to football too. Just the right amount.
Exactly, footballers can't be too bulky or build/gain heavy muscles or they will lose alot of speed and thus lose their job as professional footballers. Gaining a few kg with muscles is good, but not more. Azmoun is already around 80 kg which is perfect for his height. Christiano Ronaldo is 6 cm taller than Azmoun and 5 kg heavier, so instead of gaining weight Azmoun should focus on becoming stronger but not heavier.

They did, but in a way that Saudi basically got away with a slap on the hands.
Any other similar sized country had pulled what Saudi did, they would be kicked out of the WTO.

I think problem is Zenit is not a poor team so they wont sell Azmoun (one of their best player) for anything under 30M.....which in reality no one will pay for unless the coach really wants him or in case of Napoli, sell Milik 40M+ (which in itself is hard considering he's had 2 knee injuries)

Teams will pay 20-22M, but Zenit won't sell that low. I can see Sardar staying another 1-2 yrs sadly. Im hoping Im wrong and this Napoli interest is real

Come on man. The napoli interest is totally real. It has been confirmed by practically all major italian journalists and even the DIRECTOR OF SPORT himself.

The question is whether or not they agree a fee with zenit, which I agree with you, may or may not happen.

At the same time zenit arent dumb and know that this is the max they will ever be able to get for sardar, and in the covid situation he is a very good option for teams that dont want to splash 40-60 million on a forward. Semak, Arshavin, others have all said they respect and understand, and in semaks case "welcome" azmouns desire to go to a top league and say that is totally natural.

And on azmoun's end he clearly wants to go now. It will come down to the fee.

Milik is on last year of his contract so Napoli are asking for too much...their best bet is to sell him to an English club if they want money.

Whats the deal with the Iranian at Everton? They can easily spend 30 and get Azmoun there.

everton is almost impossible, they already got tosun, kean, richarlison, and calvert-lewin at striker, no room at all. for azmoun

It's not completely unrealistic to think Everton could go for him. Kean and Tosun are pretty out of favour there. I expect one of them to go this summer, most likely Tosun. Kean is too temperamental though.

Richarlison and DCL are the two main forwards with Richarlison adopting a more free-roaming forward role but Azmoun could fit into either of the roles those two perform in the team. Realistically, I think Azmoun would be competing for 3rd choice, which would make it a bad move for me, and I don't think anyone at the club will see Azmoun as an upgrade to either Kean or Tosun.

I think an offer Even slightly north of 25 mil has a Good chance of facilitating this move ...! Otherwise like u said it’s highly doubtful Zenit would let Sardar off the hook for less ..! Especially if there gonna be any snags in re-signing Dzuba & bringing back Kokorin to fill the void ..!
                        Poss

still in early Stages, so there’s a lot exaggerated numbers are being thrown around by clubs for their likely departees ..!

IMO, Sardar has spend plenty enough years in RPL & needs to take the next level up & @ least personally he looks poised for that, but if a move fails to materialize this off season it ain’t such a disaster either as far as I’m (as a fan)concerned..!

He looks a great fit in Zenit’s ultra attacking style of play & with addition of healthy Malcom, Zenit are looking much more fun & exciting to watch & I have feeling they stand to not only win RPL back to back, but make a deep run in next season’s CL ..!

Azmoun has never left the radar, he is seen by Gattuso as a left wing, but he is non-EU like the various Osimhen, Gabriel and Everton.

I kind of doubt the accuracy of that. There is no way anybody sees him as a left wing. And it wouldn’t even make sense for them to buy another left winger given they have insigne and lozano lol
