I think maybe they want to start with that option initially, italian clubs are notorious for high amount of add ons to structure deal. But zenit have no urge to sell, especially if they are getting almost nothing in guaranteed profit. I think they will have to guarantee at least 20 mil EU plus 5 mil add ons or more if zenit are to be convinced to sell.

Not to mention they still need to give 20% of the fee to rubin.

If azmoun joined zenit for 12-15 mil, at a time when his reputation wasnt that high at all, he certainly double the value after his great euro and league exploits, expanding his game, etc.

interesting/positive news coming out of russian medias now. Could be BS, but they are considering sales of Azmun, Driussi (each for around 25 mil) and reinvesting that money into shkahtars young brazilian forward/winger Tete and/or Luka Jovic (Madrid's Marca is running this story).

I think if anything is happening it will all be in secret and behind the scenes. Zenit have publicly said there focus is on finishing the season before they will even contemplate selling or buying anyone, we know from previous this is all talk but I think it will be a couple of months at least till we get some actual movements.

BL that is his Market Value - 15m

Napoli want to offer 20m, however Zenit want around 30m - so most likely they will negotiate a deal around 25m

I think napoli are not stupid to offer 15. Would just be counterproductive and piss zenit off.

Remains to be seen if something like 20 guaranteed plus 5-10 in add ons is enough for the russians.

I personally think 30 is the absolute max he is worth, and given the market situation going above 25 is even unnecessary.

The cheaper his fee, the better. Less stress on Sardar, and less expectations from the club, city and fans.

Sardar has shown he caves to pressure at times (e.g., quitting TM due to social media), so less pressure will only help him shine and acclimate to Serie A quicker.

Napoli face some competition with Atletico Madrid also interested. Napoli however will not give up for the price demand.

Slightly off-topic, however Chelsea do not want Boga which will definitely be an interesting project Napoli are building for

"Borghi: "Azmoun very interesting, He is a real ram, it attacks depth"

Journalist and commentator Stefano Borghi spoke on his Azmoun youtube channel, Zenit striker, who likes Napoli: "He is a young boy, to be weighed in Italy, but very interesting. He had already caught me when he was playing in Rostov analyzing the Iranians before the world. He is a devil, he has an imposing structure, he is a real ram but he moves a lot, he attacks the depth, he has killer instinct, technique, he is reaching maturity and Zenit is still a level club and I think it can be ready, then of course there is the environmental component with language, food and training, but it is very interesting "."

He keeps calling Azmoun a ram though. That's pretty rude and racist.

                              ram
                              /ram/

no its not. Its common in italy to refer to center forwards as "Rams" and "Bombers". It has nothing to do with his race.

here is an article on italian football terminology

                                https://books.google.com/booksid=NZu...otball&f=false

here is an excerpt of just general football terminology. CF's with good physical qualities, height, strength are referred to as rams or battering rams. What the analyst notes is that while azmoun has the qualities of a ram, his mobility and ability to run into spave very well distinguishes him from many CFs. for example belotti of torino, kind of a classic 9, battering ram type CF. Azmoun's technique, speed, ability to stretch defenses while still giving a tall physical, sturdy presence distinguishes him from players like that.
