hes been a bench player at this stage of his career. Aside from team morale maybe, this isn’t a significant loss

You are correct, but at this stage of his career he still made for a great super-sub and could have offered depth in the league for Zenit. (e.g. Game back in April where he made the cross from the corner to Dyzuba where they beat Krasnodar in that 3-2 thriller.)

The thing is however, Zenit are in dire need of a true CL quality, attack-minded CM (wether it’d be Russian or a foreigner, additionally they were linked to Kovacic of Chelsea last season.) The problem lies here: there are no feasible choices left for Zenit for a solid CM this late in the transfer window.

Noboa was a damn quality CAM...!! either he got injured..? played-out fast ? or was ill-suited to semak's style of play ....? perhaps lacked the pace and stamina and physicality ..?

i also think Zenit coulda still used him as depth in CM position....!! it may well be that he requested for the move, in order to get more playing minutes elsewhere in the league ..?how much they got for him anyways..?
