I’m surprised he wasn’t forced to sign a 5 year deal ..! They dropped over 10mil on him, there was no way he coulda avoided @ least signing on to @ least a 3 year deal & the 1/2 is the rest of this year ..!
Kazan could have ill afforded risk keeping him till summer & assuming they did, had he not padeded his strike figures significantly, doubtful they coulda gotten near double digit$ for him with only a year remaining on his current contract..!

Honestly, I'm just tired of this BS in Russia. Sardar has hit his prime. Should have stayed till summer and gtfo of russia. Now he has work his way off the bench in Zenit, Just wasted atleast a year of his life with this dumb lateral move.

I hear they play with 2 strikers !!?& & he does still have a reputation as a marquee player in RPL & zenit did drop double digit$ on him & missing a key starting attacker who’s jailed for thuggery..!
Not to mention that Sardar himself is in a great scoring form & fitnesses of late...! I think it’s only gonna be a matter of short few weeks before he’d establish himself as a key starter..!!?

Like I said before let’s just hope he did include some sorta clause in his contract to help ease his next move to a better western eu league ..!
He certainly lost the “Pishraft” race he had going with ARJ..! 😂 @ least so far ..!

I don’t get why some people are mad at him, he’s playing at Zenit (playing to be the champions and playing international).
Who ever thought he would play at Barca, Liverpool or Bayern never saw him play.
Sardar is outstanding, but only for an Iranian player.

Sardar is not even outstanding, he is just a great player who is talented and who works hard. He’s a natural athlete. Not all football players are natural athletes. This guy can play volleyball, football, maybe horse racing. If he went to an American high school he’d probably play all the seasonal sports.

What people don’t understand is that players have different levels of potential. Sardar still has the potential to play at one of those clubs, but he hasn’t peaked yet. Unfortunately or fortunately some players peak late. Maybe he will peak in 2 years and murder the RPL which will hand him contracts to clubs such as Barcelona or Bayern Munich. There've been players who peaked later in their career and played for the biggest football clubs in the world. And there are those who peaked early on in their careers getting signed by big clubs, but crumbled because mentally they weren’t mature enough. Carlos Vela of México for example, was signed by Arsenal but it didn’t work out. However he started doing great later in his career. All factors should be considered before making assumptions and judgements.

Our fans have high expectations and they don’t factor in the details before speaking none sense.

Its really Bayern Munichs fault. They bought Ali Daei in order to weaken the competitiveness of the Bundesliga and our fans thought that means Iranians should be regularly shipped to Bayern/Barca/Real, no disrespect to Ali Daei.

If you look at a team like Morocco, they have all of their players in midtier Ligue1/La Liga and top Eredivisie sides and that made them such a fluid attacking team. None of them were stars for HUGE clubs but they were well rounded enough to do well. That's what we need more of..depth in legionnaires.

Dadash, majority of the players in the Moroccan national team have never lived their, and instead have lived in European countries the majority of their lives, so of course they’d play for those nations

With no disrespect to Ali Daei..

Bayern buys players from other teams in the Bundesliga whenever they shine and keep them in their squad. Whether they use them or not doesnt matter to them.

Daei had 1 season for Hertha where he scored 3 goals in the CL and 7 goals in the league. Bayern buys him. Hashemian scored 34 in 3 seasons. Bayern buy him to bench him. As a people we expect our players to be jetted off to Bayern now which is unrealistic.

We need more players willing to be in Europe in midtable teams and become staples of that team. Short stints in elite clubs wont do anything for us

Oh I know just pointing out that even though their clubs are not considered elite, they played the most flowing passing game and football in our group.

Daei went to Bayern from Armenia Bielefeld. He scored 7-10 goals for a team that was really really bad and was relegated.
Daei would have been a starter in Bayern if he wasn't flying back and forth to Asia for TM games back when FIFA and AFC did not have a coordinated calendar.

However, you are correct about Bayern Munich's buying strategy. They do buy players simply to weaken their rivals even if they don't want them.

Sorry, Bielefield right. And again I mean no disrespect to Ali Daei and whether he could start for Bayern. I just mean his career has rocketed our expectations into the sky for our other legionnaires.

If Azmoun plays for Zenit and then gets to later play for Villareal/Valencia for more than a couple years...thats a great career!
If Jahanbakhsh plays for Brighton (assuming they stay in EPL the whole time ) for 8 years... Thats a solid career.
Maybe I am in the minority in this thought i dont know.

If Beiro went to Getafe or Watford for many years it is better than if he played in Liverpool for 2.

When is he joining the team training? They’ve already been playing friendlies and their other new signing played in one today.

Hashemian is an even better example than Daei for this point.
