Why won't they let Neil Etheridge play? If he wants to play, let the man play! The Azkals will be my dark horses for this tournament. 🇵🇭

"Sonny has been called up to the South Korea squad for the AFC Asian Cup in January 2019.
He will join up with the squad following our match against Manchester United on Sunday 13 January."
So Son will miss the 3 group stage matches.

Philippines' goalkeeper Neil Etheridge will only play in their opening match against South Korea and will then go back to Cardiff. it's their first major competition ever and they'll be missing one of their standout players for most of it.
Considering that do you guys want/think the Asian cup would/should be moved in the summer like the AFCON recently ?

So here's the Saudi's squad: https://www.foxsportsasia.com/footba...he-tournament/
Goalkeepers: Mohammed Al-Owais (Al-Ahli), Waleed Abdullah (Al-Nassr), Mohammed Al Yami (Al-Batin)
Defenders: Mohammed Al-Breik (Al-Hilal), Yasir Al-Shahrani (Al-Hilal), Ali Al-Bulaihi (Al Hilal), Mohammed Al-Fatil (Al-Ahli), Hamdan Al Shamrani (Al-Faisaly), Abdulelah Al-Amri (Al-Wahda), Omar Hawsawi (Al-Nassr)
Midfielders: Salman Al-Faraj (Al-Hilal), Abdullah Otayf (Al-Hilal), Salem Al-Dawsari (Al-Hilal), Hussain Al-Mogahwi (Al-Ahli), Ayman Al Khulaif (Al-Ahli), Abdulrahman Ghareeb (Al-Ahli), Ibrahim Ghaleb (Al-Nassr), Yahya Al-Shehri (Al-Nassr), Abdullah Al-Khaibari (Al-Shabab), Hattan Bahebri (Al-Shabab), Abdulaziz Al-Bishi (Al-Faisaly)
Forwards: Fahad Al Muwallad (Al-Ittihad), Mohammed Al-Saiari (Al-Hazem)
Not really sure whats going on with them. They have a lot of small, quick technical players on the wings. They left out a lot of their old guard(Osama Hawsawi, Taisir Al Jassem(the shia captain)
What blows my mind is they left off guys like Al Sahlawi when their only forwards that they called up seem to be short in number. Saiari has ZERO Caps and Fahad AL Muwallad is basically a winger listed as a forward.
Have to assume they are going 4-5-1 or 4-4-3 false nine.

Ryan
Risdon - Jurman - Sainsbury - Behich
Milligan
Rogic - Luongo
Kruse -------------------Leckie
Nabbout
That would be my starting 11 for Australia. With Mooy's injury there needs to be some work rate in there and it's Milligans's original position. I don't like Kruse but without Arzani in the squad I don't see who else would take his spot. Give him a go I guess.
