S Korea, Saudi Arabia & Australia advanced to Olympic.

Uzbekistan, Iran, Iraq, Qatar … all failed.

I think Iran with better Team managers and better planning could have advance. Last time in Asian games we were in same group with Saudi Arabia ans Myanmar ( over year ago) . We tied with Saudi and both intentionally lost to Myanmar to not face Korea. We both ultimately faced Korea and lost to a better team. Only less than Two months ago we beat Australia in neutral place.
Except S Korea we arguably were better than others Unfortunately we had Estili & Associates.

He is 194 cm (6'3"). His name is Jeong Tae-wook, he is a defender, and he plays for Daegu FC. Yeah, it would be very beneficial for him to gain more international experience.

Shahin Taherkhani played well during last two payoff of champion league for Esteghlal.
He only played against China only game that Iran won and did not conceded a goal.

Unfortunately Estili did not play him for first two games and played Noorafkan instead. That mistake by Estili was fatal.

it was a double mistake, as you mention, taherkhani was a really solid CB, but also Noorafkan is a far better CDM than he is CB. In fact, he is our best player in deep midfield by far at this age group. Putting him at CB weakened defense line, and weakened midfield line.

Not sure the reasoning for this at all as no other coach has played noorafkan there.

We all pretty much knew with Estili in charge this team has no chance. Well as expected, with his fatal mistake he showed what a garbage coach he really is.

    Dear
He was wrong but unfortunately surrounded himself with weak and unqualified assistants.
IFF technical committee should have advised him, saving him from himself.
