Our poor Omid team had become a laboratory rat for some random managers to gain experience with!! Last time it was given to Khakpour and now to his best buddy Estili. This year we have a talented team but with this amateur coaching staff we haven't got much of a shot.Comment

Yesterday ( Sunday) was last day to submit list of players to AFC. S Korea, China and Uzbekistan all published their list but Iran yet to release the list.
U23 team has returned from Qatar and players spending time with their families. There will be departing ceremony before trip to Thailand.

Numbers of Defenders are not enough, perhaps Estili want to play Salmani as LB and Mehdikhani as RB in case of emergencies.
Azadi and Moslemipour not making it is a surprise , both players had been with the team from the start .
Sanat Naft has 3 players in the list.
Taherkhani from Esteghlal made it while Gholami failed to make it because of his attitude.
Matin Karimzadeg, Reza Dehghani and Mujtaba Najarian joined the team only 2 months ago but all 3 made it.
Derakhshanmehr finally made it as defender while for past year played as RW .
Delfi did not recovered to be included.

Iran's first match is against good Uzbek team with good passing game. Iran Will start with the same lineup versus Qatar with only one change.
Allahyar will start as Forward instead of Mehdikhani or Shojaei .
