Esteeli is designated as Director of U23 team.
He was a TM player but not a good coach ( Rahahan, Perspolis) but is a very bad manager.
He lied about decision to lose to Myanmar to avoid Korea but then he defended his decision.

After Kranjcar left he wasted months to select replacement and finally appoint Majidi ( weakest in the list) so he can continue interfer in the team.

No other good coach will let Steeli involve in selection and practice of the players.

June Trainng Camp ended today. Next training will be held in 4-5 weeks to be coincide with TM trainin g camp. TM next training camp will not include players abroad but will include few new faces.
It is a good possibility a march between TM and U23 so Wilmots get to see young prospects.

Iraq named list of 72 Cheaters and there will be more.

They simply fabricated their age in order to play for various Youth National teams.

Today, the Anti-Corruption Committee of Iraq has nominated 72 national team players and has requested that all of these, along with a new list that will be released shortly, be deprived of the national team.

We know many of them to be cheater like Mohammad Dawwod . But we were not sure of Bashar Rasan and Homam Tariq from Perspolis & Esteghlal players , they are in the list of cheaters , they were among under 23 players illegally.

He is over 23 but claims 19. few months ago for Olympic U23 games in Iran he did not show up because this investigation started before that.
He knew probably ( guilty conscious) if Iran or others complain Iraq will be heavily penalized.

Every Iraq qualification for youth levels to date should be formally stricken from the record. Their FA should be banned too. I remember in 2000 or 2001 we got banned for the same thing yet no one else in Asia or Africa was punished.

Iran/TM are under a magnifying glass, and many federations are looking at reasons to ban Iran from any tournament. The other nations, not so much.
