^^^yes...from the link you posted it seems Taj and company have already started talking to CQ about staying for the AC!!!

They ask Taj what should we do not to end up with the problems we had back in 2006 and can have a successful AC which starts a few months after the WC. He answers, we need to use CQ's presence. We have already had some talks with him.

    This really sounds promising!

I'm not that optimistic. According to Sharvand, Branko has already had secret talks in Niavaran with Taj.

Branko is the ideal guy for that system. He's Croatian so they can pat themselves on the back for hiring a "European" coach, but when it comes to opportunism, putting up with corruption and ignoring pathetic infrastructure he's as irooni as it gets. I was hoping it would be Schafer but he's already shown that like CQ he demands the kind of planning and organization that this system simply doesn't offer. He has repeatedly talked about asking the club to sort out their academy and youth teams. When was the last time Branko showed an interest in any of these things as long as he receives his paycheck?...

Branko has already been exposed by Schafer in the domestic league and he'll jump at the chance to take the national team and leave Perspolis behind. He had a good run the last two seasons taking advantage of Esteghlal, Sepahan and Traktor being in their weakest states of recent years and turned himself into a God in the eyes of red fans. That gives him a built-in support as the national team coach AND he won't have to stick around and compete with revitalized Esteghlal, Sepahan and Traktor. Both him and the federation have an interest in making this deal happen. I'd be shocked if anyone but him is the next coach. Sad, but very typical for the system.

^^The only difference is, Shahrvand article is just a rumor. The other one is an interview with 90, and it comes right out of Taj's mouth.

If there's one thing I know about that country, it's that rumors are often more reliable than what comes out of an official's mouth

I'd be very surprised if anyone other than Branko gets the job after the world cup. He's literally perfect for that system. Even if not for our football.

I expect a lot of veterans to retire if Branco becomes head coach of TM. No one wants to be ''managed'' under this Croatian tool...

              Already denied.

Branko already extended his contract, it would cause a huge upset if he leaves for anywhere else. Taj and Perspolis board will receive a huge backlash if this happens.

Kranjcar might become U23 headcoach. Apparently, he's already in Tehran .

Would be a very good choice.

                  It looks like him.

For those who don’t know Paykan has a good goal difference this season. A good goal difference is a reflection of how the team does overall and the goalkeeper’s individual performances are highlighted. Their goalkeepers are Rahman Ahmadi and Payam Niazmand.

Rahman Ahmadi has a good connection with Carlos Queiroz. Although Rahman didn’t start for Iran in the World Cup he was very professional when he parted ways with Team Melli. So one can only assume that unlike Rahmani, Aghili and Khalatbari, Carlos may have kept in contact with his former goalkeeper.

Payam Niazmand has been starting for Peykan and playing well. Peykan has also been undefeated in 5 matches with 4 straight wins in the last 5 games. I wouldn’t be surprised if Rahman Ahmadi also vouched for him too.

Hamed Lak is another goalkeeper who is more experienced than Niazmand. It makes sense to have these guys get tested vs Sierra Leone.

Shafer is at Branko level when it comes to national teams. He can't elevate the level of play.

Even if we suppose that's true, he's pushed more for better planning and infrastructure in the six months he's been in Iran than Branko ever did in the two periods he's been there. That alone makes him better for our football and worse in the eyes of the system.

Remember he was the first choice a while back but they got rid of him with garbage rumors about him being a alcoholic?
                        He's a great choice.

It was never organised in the first place. Livescore app or soccerway.com probably don't want to look stupid so they said it's cancelled.
