    Compare who is better

Who is better and why? Miroslav Blažević Iran vs. Carlos Queiroz Iran? Do you still want Miroslav Blažević after World Cup 2018 for Iran for the Asian Cup 2019 and World Cup 2022? if CQ leave Ir

Miroslav Blažević played with Iran a 3-5-2 formation I read and he also introduce new players like Rahman Rezaei, Javad Nekounam, Ebrahim Mirzapour to Team-melli

Miroslav Blažević run away very fast after we failed but Carlos Queiroz now with Iran since 2011!

    Compare who is better

    This isn’t even a debate.
Without a doubt, CQ is, was, and always will be better.
Whether he will stay on as manager following the conclusion of the World Cup, that’s a different question altogether.

Well, Miroslav Blazevic was verbally attacked, not the least on Iranian TV by some stupid reporter. I doubt even CQ would have stayed in that environment.

We played some fantastic games under Miroslav Blazevic. If anything his style of football was so much more attacking and entertaining than CQ's style. At the same time, we had probably better talents in Blazevic's time too so that may have had a contributing effect.

Having said that, I think CQ is so much better for our football, mostly because he's an authoritarian! That's the only personality that works in Iran and can make things done! CQ is not afraid of anybody and could challenge the president himself to get to his wish. That's exactly the quality of a coach that we've always been lacking.

Javier Clemente. We never hired him though. He was given a serious offer and he said yes but with the condition of not living in Iran.

I hope you were not serious about Ciro. First he is very old now, second forget the age issue, i don't want this guy anywhere close to TM, he is a big talker, third he didn't coach since 2014.
btw, he was back to Iran few years a go with Mes Kerman.

Blazevic a very good coach but I have to say CQ has well adapted himself to our Football environment and has managed to transform our football something that no Foreign coaches in the past had managed to do.

I just hope that CQ comes to his senses and give our football fans the chance to watch Team Melli versus some European or Latin American team in Azadi. CQ's fierce opposition to Team Melli hosting European or Latin American teams has been very frustrating and annoying.

Some of you have too much time to come up with this type of silly question.

CQ is a good coach, good enough for Iran. Let us support him to succeed.

Can't really say that we played "attacking" football under Ciro ..... we failed to qualify for the WC, lol.

We were very lucky not to lose against Thailand in Thailand, we only defeated Thailand 1-0 in Tehran, a 0-0 draw against Bahrain in Azadi (and we all know what happened in the away game), we defeated Iraq by only 1 goal margins in both home and away matches, and with regard to KSA, we couldn't score on them in Tehran until the Aussie referee gifted us with a penalty which really was not a penalty ..... and then we scored the second goal AFTER KSA was reduced to 10 men.

Don't forget that KSA played without their best player who was out with an injury (Nawaf Al-Temyat, who was the reigning Asian Player of the year at that time), and their experienced goalkeeper, Mohammad Al-Dayee. When we did win, we did so by slim margins. Some people make it seem as if we steam-rolled and destroyed our opponents under Ciro, which is totally false. These results, and the playing style which produced these results, are unacceptable given the firepower/players Ciro had at his disposal. Under CQ, however, we qualified as group leaders for two consecutive World Cups.

Ciro is a great coach, but he is not on par with CQ.

Ciro also committed a serious tactical blunder against Bahrain in Azadi. Listen to Mahdavikia's perspective at 49:15

You make it sound like introducing Ebrahim Mirzapour to Team Melli was a good thing...

Iran had better individual players under Blazevic, but a better TEAM (+more descipline) under Queiroz.
