Our big problem is that we barely get quality Western European opposition for friendlies. We can prepare for Morocco well but not for Spain and Portugal. We might try to approach the Netherlands and Italy, who might see us as good build-up opposition for their new teams.

I insist again and again please get friendlies against Catalunya and Basque country this december right now (like what Tunisia did last year)!!Comment

Now with Portugal & Spain in our group, we definately have to play a big name..
Be it Belgium, Uruguay, France, England or whatever... Or Netherlands, Italy, Chile who have not qualified for the WC. It will be a very important experience especially for our IPL players to play some big names ahead of the WC.Comment

ALL these suggestions sound FANTASTIC guys. The only problem is that most of these are unlikely. As we know CQ has complained many times about friendly matches. The federation is corrupt and we don't have money to spend on these friendlies. We only get third tier teams at beast. Let's look t the Russia match which has been the best match we've had in years, CQ got it as a favor. Therefore let's not get our hopes up
!
The most logical/ plausible team I can see us playing would be Egypt as they are probably somewhat similar to Morocco and we've had a decent relationship politically speaking with them. I can't see us playing any strong EU teams... with the exception of Sweden (mediocre-good).Comment

Since all our opponents in our group are from the mediteranian sea, we should play friendlies against any mediteranian teams, including north african, adriatic including italy, greece and turkey.
Also, any south and central american.
Western and northern euro and (non northern) african team friendlies do not make sense for first round preperation and asian friendlies are completely useless at this point.Comment

Iran should organize a tournament of 4 teams in March Friendly Time.
Invite italy, netherlands and Tunisia or Chile.
3 matches within 9 days in Tehran and organize a sum of money, like 3,5 million dollar and give the winner 1.3 million, second team 1.million third 700.000. and fourth team
500.000 dollar. I think we should make this tournament in Iran stadium(s). All in Azadi, or also Foolad Stadium...
