Very nice. Hope to see him succeed with his new team.

Goteborg always sounds funny to me, for those who understand Azeri, me and my friends often call it Gota bakh!

Because for a 17 year old from almost any country, that's as good as it gets. If he's able to get regular playing time in an organized/relatively corruption-free society (Unlike Russia,Greece,Turkey) and learns work ethic, it could go a long way. Even prospects from the big clubs typically end up getting loaded out to teams in the Dutch, Swedish, Danish leagues to get regular playing time.

Also, Goteborg has had a tough time the past two seasons, but generally speaking they are considered one of the top three teams in that League.

Still Delfi could do better than that. For guys like Ebrahimi, Gholizadeh this level team makes more sense.

bottom table swedish club? IFK Göteborg had one bad season, they are the second most prestigious club in sweden, and the most prestigious swedish club when it comes to football out in europe.

He has been with the team for a while now! Had some practices before Xmas break!

He said in an interview that he is trying to learn the clubs history before implenting his vision. He thinks thats the way to do it than just to come in and try to force your vision on to all the players.

Here is the video with Poya training the boys

Poya Asbaghi just had his first friendly in the pre season. Sadly a 3-1 loss against Aalborg!

According to someone that saw the game, Poyas effect was shown in the first half seeing how the team was playing fun effective fotball. Second half came the subs and bad misstakes by defenders which made the game end up in a loss

Maybe he's just experimenting with the squad, before playing his real tactics.

"We wanted some answers that we also received. it was more important than the result today"
"We did a lot of good things in the first half"

                        says Poya Asbaghi.

Next week is a friendly against Norwegian team Stabaek.

First win for Poya! After being down 2-0 they were able to turn the game and win 3-2 against Staebak.
