You can notice they didn't mention their next opponent (pp or pakhtakor) nor they did a similar article for pp when they reached semi final.

Of course, also no news of PP reaching the final after beating al nassr.

This may be owing less to French bias than to saudi money. AN has huge wealth, media, and publicity team who reach out to outlets. Other non arab west Asian teams cannot compete with arab money.

I don't know any arab/Saudi funding there, their journalists generally want to please the big north African but that's not related to ACL here.

Their star journalists are well known (and quite of very low level). They are often on TV or signed their main article (see others news).

As nobody care about the asian zone in France, they don't spend time on it and I guess they let some unknown journalist do the minimal.

Of course, this newspaper method is well known : only care about domestic (which is understandable) football, aswell as well known international team/players. What's new is that they are expanding their coverage on useless african games.

As they are really bad journalists, they never go beyond what they know, except if an impressive breakthrough happens (e.g an Iranian transfering or linked to french club or Iran beating France at the world cup).
They don't have any personnel curiosity to go and explore unknown area. Compare this to Thierry Henry that watches all the game from around the world.

During the Azmoun to lyon story, one of this idiot was insinuating that TM was shit (shows how fast people forget iran good show at WC and how a wc every 2 years could help)
