Due to the long term injury to Stengs, Alireza will most likely return to the right side:

"AZ is going to replace the long-term injured Calvin Stengs internally. The first candidate in the right-wing position is now Alireza Jahanbakhsh, who also played last season. After Stengs's breakthrough, the Iranian international moved to the left.

"With Alireza back on the right, we have to fill in the left-wing position with another player, but there we have enough candidates for home," says director of football business Max Huiberts. "Dabney dos Santos has already proven himself and both Levi Garcia and Jeremy Helmer have a lot of potential.""

AliReza had a tougher game than last week, good man marking from ADO forced AZ to play from the left side instead.

But all together, he (again) had a good performance, creating space for his team, some good passing, some off target ; )

Most important man in this match was the referee though : (
Iran deserves better, TM deserves better.
                O.G from '97 & still here

                    Full Highlights.

AJ played pretty well it seems.

always a little biased, but believe me, the referee was horrible!
did you see the penalty given and the 2 yellow cards he gave ADO defender Kanon?

AZ wins 2-1 away from home at vitesse . Weghorst with both goals. ARJ played 71 minutes and was rated 7/10 by whoscored. Hes so damn professional and consistent we just take his performances for AZ as a given.

It's really true, we know he can play in a better league, but we also know he won't let himself wither away in eredivisie (as we saw how well he performed the season NEC played 2nd division). I'd never be worried about a player that has his mentality... as long as he stays away from injury.
