I don't wish Haghighi to come back just yet but there is a clear difference between Davari and Haghighi and that's quality. So I completely understand people who are ok with Haghighi coming back but not with Davari.

Mind you, IMO, even Beiranvand, Mazaheri, Akhbari, Lak, etc. are all better than Davari despite playing in the IPL. Sorry to say but the dude (Davari) has never impressed me and to this day I'm still amazed how he was the first keeper in a Bundesliga team.

One of CQ biggest mistakes was to allow him as our third keeper in the WC! Lucky we didn't need to use him.

Having said that, as an Iranian, of course I wish him good luck with what ever he's doing and I hope he will succeed in his team! I just wish and hope he never gets near TM again.

Good news: his team lost today while he remained on the bench

Friendly - Duisburg 1:2 Borussia Monchengladbach:

*Davari started the match and played the full 90 mins.

"Over the entire distance substitutekeeper Daniel Davari the Duisburger gate. The ex-Bielefelder made it clear that MSV coach Gruev does not have to spend sleepless nights if Mark Flekken should fail. Davari not only parried one of Dustin Bomheuer's feet by Patrick Herrmann (3rd), he also shone with many parades and kept the zebras in the game."

"Duisburg's No. 2, Daniel Davari (29), brought Borussia to the brink of despair with his parades (including the elders). But he was also powerless at the gates of Egbo (45th) and Villalba (89th)."

    Extended Highlights:

*Davari pk save at min 1:15

Wow, great game by Davari. Seemed confident. His team could have won, but too many mistakes on offense and defense! Nice penalty stop too. Hope he can regain his form.

We have Lak, Mazaheri, Haghighi, and Beiranvand.

HOWEVER, we shall give Daniel another chance.

The only reason I believe he won't get another call-up is because he doesn't speak Farsi fluently.

Hasn't he barely had playing time this season, and for the past little while? I also saw nothing impressive from him when he played for TM (although I recognize that was a few years ago). Regardless, if he performs and plays regularly maybe he can be called up again one more time, but unfortunately his career has declined since his initial TM call up due to some poor club performances. Hoping for the best for him.

Davari was injured in training. Will miss the friendly match vs Bayer Leverkusen:

"Knee twisted: MSV Duisburg goalkeeper Davari missing against Bayer Leverkusen

Goalkeeper Daniel Davari, however, can not take this chance. The goalkeeper who came from Bielefeld before the season, who is the number two in the zebras behind Mark Flekken, has twisted his knee in training and must therefore be fit. "

If indeed Beiranvand leaves PP for sarbazi, Davari should be a given a trial at PP.
