Thanks for Ando Teymourian for pointing the move out for us. Fantastic move for him, he is still 23 and has time to grow. He will learn a lot at Maritimo even if he does not get playing time. Looks like he will be the 3rd goalkeeper for now.
Amir Abedzadeh will be reinforced by Marítimo, Maisfutebol said.
The Iranian goalkeeper who came to Portugal this year to represent Barreirense of the Portuguese Championship will sign for the islanders. It is recalled that Marítimo lost Gottardi until the end of the season due to an achilles tendon injury.
The story of Amir Abedzadeh has already been told by Maisfutebol, under the heading Sunday afternoon, he is very famous in Iran thanks to the career of his father, a former Iranian international.

Good for him he keeps trying and that is all that matters.
IRI = FAILED
this means we will have a gk in UT
Wow what an under the radar signing! All these players we have as free agents, like Haghighi, Dejagah, and Ezzatolahi... yet its Abedzadeh going to a top 5 league?
If you guys look at his insta, you can tell hes a really hard working guy and has a lot of ambitions... Best of luck Amir!
He will be most likely the 3rd choice keeper. I highly doubt if he gets any playing time, base on few games i saw from him in past, he had hard time to get playing time in IPL, he was selected as 2nd choice keeper behind Akhbari in u-23 and even that some thought it was due to his dad connection as he was without club, lets hope he proves me wrong!
Great move, proud of you!

This shows agent and connection plays a big role in players career, a guy like Amir Abedzadeh who had hard time to get starting job in any IPL team get a European offer from top 5 league, while we have much better keepers in Iran who either don't want get the hell out or don't have a decent agents.
Or maybe PGL coaches failed to see something in him because of a few bad moments? Majority of PGL coaches only care about results, they don't have the patience nor the mentoring abilities to guide young players out of difficult times. They drop them like a sack of bricks and go for a different player, which is probably what happened with Abedzadeh too.
nice move!
Iran deserves better, TM deserves better.
