Around the times of competition, CQ lives in Tehran. He has his own house and everything and his wife lives in Tehran too..
    - So he has been living in Tehran roughly from early August when camp began until now. He will go to Thailand and Malaysia to make sure everything is okay then come back to Tehran until camp begins.

During off time such as after the Syria game, they will go to Portugal in their home there.
    - He will likely be there from after Syria game until early March in time for camp. He will make various trips to Iran to see IPL games and scout.

I know he vacations quite a bit in Dubai and some other places. Other times I know he travels to scout players and such.

They conspire, they cheat, they bribe, and play dirty. It is particularly irritating when they make sajda of shukr after scoring/winning in dishonest and pitiful ways. They are not remembering Allah when bribing, conspiring, cheating, but, want to show off to others that they are "good Muslims".

They won't allow women even to drive a car or even have the rights that women from more glorious times of Islam enjoyed before. They hate others and yet, as soon as they are out of their little kingdoms, they flirt, eyef@ck, drink, sleep around with any 2-cent whore they can get their hands on. (I am sorry for the offtop).

^ We already know this. There are also lots of ''holier than thou'' types who go to the casino and ''pray to allah'' with the games there for good luck.

But there is no way you can talk sense to them. They won't understand. Some people live only for themselves and would kill for their own gain. That's how it is. These people will always exist.

Kor and Uzb will have to fight for the second spot. Both, Kor and Uzb, lost to Iran and may only expect a draw realistically on the second leg.
Uzbekistan beat all 3 other teams, while Korea drew with Syria. That is why they are two points behind Uzbekistan.
One more loss and Korea will effectively be out of the race. That loss can either be in China, which is earlier, or in the last match-day in Uzbekistan.
P.S. I don't expect Uzbekistan to win in Korea, although I hope they will.
I really wish that Korea loses one more game and depends on Iran last match day to give them a break with a draw or win to help them qualify and we beat the crap out of them and boot them out of the WCQ!!! Much like what they did to us for the 2010 WC when all we needed was a win and Park ji Sung sunk our dreams in min 87!! this is justice served.

They are very strong, but not as strong as they used to be and it is likely that we are witnessing a steep decline of theirs as we speak.

These little things may not seem effective, however that's what's made TM perform better than ever. Forecasting all aspects and circumstances ahead of time, trying to avoid costly mistakes (Biggest trait of most Iranians "negligence")

and TM is paying the costs for this research? Im surprised
Also I thought the requirement from IFF to CQ Was for him to live in Iran full time, I guess they got some sort of compromise.. Not stirring shit up Im just wondering thats all

It is not in our DNA to make things easy for ourselves; as much as I like to think that we'd cruise our way to qualification, we need to be prepared and expect disappointment along the way. Maybe a loss/tie to Syria or China??? Let's hope not, but it's been rare for us to just qualify stress-free....

Well we don't know who pays for what, but in all honesty I don't care who does. All I know is that such trips and researches can only help us get better acclimation and convenience for the respective matches.

Now while visiting the country for the above purpose, it is ok to stay a bit longer and take a vacation. This is a super stressful job.

My Chilean friend follows football of Europe and south America much better than me. He told me that if Iran continues to play like this they will be contenders in quarterfinals of world cup. I trust his judgement about football due to his experience and knowledge.

So if what he says is true then Iran should comfortably aim to win all the games regardless of points. Just forget the points and concentrate on winning all the games.

I plan on Iran qualifying by the Korea game and therefore having Syria as a test match for fringe players.

I also think SK/Uzbekistan are not done losing pts and that a win against China at home and two wins vs Syria would be enough to qualify as 2nd place and even 1st based on SK vs Uzbekistan matches.

I think Qatar will quit trying to finish over us and try to knock Uzbekistan/SK off for a playoff spot.

Our game against China was on a terrible wet pitch which ruined our passing game. On a good Azadi surface I expect a win.

A lot depends on South Korea vs Uzbekistan. If Uzbekistan wins and we beat Syria, we will be 6 pts ahead of SK and they will need a monster effort to get past us in the last 5 games.

I agree , but IMO this time is TOTALLY different!! we will qualify like "ABE KHORDAN!"
