There is NO reason to disrespect Koreans. Iran and Korea have good relations and I have been to Seoul a few times and walked on Tehran street. I have eaten all types of Korean meals, in streets, in restaurants, in homes.

Football is sport and Iranians are known for their fair play (Javan-mardi). We will invite Koreans to stay a little longer to shop in Bazaar and purchase souvenir for their wives and children.

Koreans have been to Iran to play football many times, more than Japanese.

well, it is his own opinion and he has the right to express his opinion. I saw what happened back in 2013 as a group of Korean "fans" throw bottles and many others things to the field to hit Iranians players and staff while they were celebrating the qualification.
Of course Bild-Zeitung has only political agendas why they highlight this story with Koo. If you follow them, you'll see that they use every chance they have to discredit Iran or Iranians in general. Therefore I do not blame Mr. Koo for his opinion.
I don't know how he thinks of North Korea....but obviously he has never been there to see the difference between a culture and a backward Juche-ideology.

Also if he thinks that the city is old, excuse me but that's the main reason why so many tourists visit for example Vienna because the city mainly remained like it was 100 years ago. You don't need to make everything hypermodern by installing huge Samsung LED-billboards etc within the city.

Let's say he really said that, be sure it’s not really his own opinion. He is just using the stereotypes to hit & hurt Iran and Iranians after our last controversial clashes - this is pure koon soozi. So many other players have come to Tehran and praised the atmosphere; actually I just came back from Iran and can say the tourists are increasing. I am happy he said that though, we need this kind of motivation!

No no no. Iran is the under dog. Korea is very strong with many players in Europe. Korea has been in world Cup semra final before also has much better training facilities then we do. Iran will try our best but Korea is highly favoured to win this match.

No Iran is a slight favorite according to bookies.
Koreans are in for a big surprise since the Iranian manager is going to use the emotions of
the day as a big motivating factor to fire up his players and hand them a big loss. I think all
the controversy about the game being played is a big advantage for our players.
