Noorafkan has no business being a defender for TM, no matter if in the center and or on the left.

Even if we can't find the perfect left back who's great defensively and going forward, I'd say, play it safe, dump Noorafkhan and get an extremely reliable defender as LB even if he has no prowess going forward. The first job of a defender is to defend and any offensive qualities are a bonus on top. If we can't have both, get someone who can at least defend well.

still i honestly take him to WC over Hajisooti any day ....! Ehsan is simply looks played-out and invisible like a ghost out there on the pitch anymore...!
and Omid is still slightly better Overall option at LW reserve than Milad in his recent form..? imo..! One is certainly a better Defender than an attacking WB, the other the exact opposite..! unfortunately for us many of today's modern game of football tactics are massively reliant on both WBs being fast and capable attacking and defending..!
god forbid Amiri misses WC due to injury or whatever... then our Left side defensively is literally soorakh ... .!!
Neither Noorafkan, Hajsafi, nor Mohammadi are good enough to play LB for TM. All should be dropped. Time for new blood!

1 appearance for CQ and 2 for Charleroi before he was discarded by both. Now he is Dragan’s golpesar becoming fixed in the lineup…

Omid was great when younger with promising future his, but unfortunately for whatever reasons his performance did not get better as he grow older. Despite his abilities, his performance has flaws and there was hope he will overcome his shortcomings. With the same understandings U23 coaches, TM coach has invited him and giving him chances and change his position for success, unfortunately this year in the games that was important his performance has been very bad and costly. His image as a reliable defender has been tarnished.

Noorafkan is not the only promising young talents that did not reach expectation, Shekari, Soltanimehrm Mohammad Sharifi they did not develop as expected and turn into mediocre players.

Omid's downfall was he quickly gave up on European ambitions and ran back to the IPL. He never gave himself an opportunity to develop.

He looked ok as an overlapping wing back. Maybe as wing he is fine but he isn't a defender

The Algerians are mocking Omid Noorafkan - even they know Omid is useless.

Omid is not a defender. It’s as simple as that unfortunately skocic insists on him. It’s my number one issue with him.

He's just not much of a football player.

He’s an ok winger. Let’s give him that.

No he isn't good. He just has a talent to fool people and look ok against a crappy opposition

He was terrible in the Asian Champions League in every single game. Where was his talent shown? He's a terrible footballer and may have single-handedly stopped Charleroi from buying Iranian players in the future.

Not to have any excuses to justify weak performance:

When a decent player perform bad and not at his best, he should be benched, evaluated, physically and mentally and have a plan for his return in best form.
During ACL game Noorafkan played bad and costly but Navidkia played him while he repeated mistakes.
If that reward was not enough Sko invite him for TM, started him as CB .
Did Navidkia and SKO expected him to perform well?
He was not in condition to start for TM.

Last time when Sko played him as CB and was forced to replace him with Yazdani , I suggested may be Sko should try him as GK.

He is terrible and so inconsistent. Physically weak and low footballing IQ. He may do ok against IPL teams but on international level he is way out of his league. Again another reason why Skocic is so incompetent of a coach.
