High profile Iranian referee "Alireza Faghani" has been chosen to whistle the 2015 FIFA Club World Cup Final.
In the Final Argentina's River Plate faces Spain's FC Barcelona at the Yokohama International Stadium (JPN)20 Dec 2015 - 19:30 Local time.
An international referee since 2008, Faghani is not new to taking charge of key fixtures, as he officiated the 2015 Asian Cup Final between Korea Republic and Australia in Sydney, Australia.
Faghani has also officiated the 2009 AFC President’s Cup final and 2010 AFC Challenge Cup final match between Turkmenistan and DPR Korea who won the championship.
He was also the referee for the 2014 AFC Champions League final first leg match between eventual winners Western Sydney Wanderers of Australia and Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal
Faghani will be assisted by AFC Assistant Referees and compatriots Reza Sokhandan and Mohammedreza Mansouri.
