Are this guy's parents Iranians? or is he one of those Ajams of Qatar? someone whose ancestor from 19th century or prior was from Iran.

I heard this guy's grandpa had once gone to South America (don't know which country) for a long vacation, so the Qatari's immediately offered him to join one of their national teams.

there are many Arabs of Iranian origin that live in the Persian gulf countries. They are mostly from south of iran and come from merchants who use to travel back and forth between the two regions.
