The best group for tourists would be Group B. You'd get to see Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

you did this, but I did this before too, and we compared to other draws, the position of the group will be drawn too. only group headers will be position B1,C1,...,H1.

Wow so few groups have matches in St Petersburgh or Moscow. That really sucks! Those are the only 2 cities I want to see.

They have those set mainly for knockout stage.
The travel shouldn't matter much for TM since it's almost 4-5 days in between games.

I’m not even going to the World Cup. But I want our boys to be comfortable and at ease.

If I understand correctly, just being in pot 3 doesn't mean that we'll be that A3/B3/C3 etc in our group.

Other than top seeds, usually the other teams will have their number (2/3/4) drawn as well. At least that was the case in 2006,2010, and 2014.
