Azadi Sports Complex's manager was let go and is replaced by another person.
Interesting, because the guy who was fired is the same due CQ was complaining about.

I think the bosses are also ticked off that the managers of Azadi Stadium have been very slow on renovating Azadi Stadium and other facilities in the complex.

Iraq will play it's home games in Emam Reza stadium. Only in Iran a stadium is inaugurated by foreign national teams ! the bright side is that they will probably speed up the construction, so the stadium will be ready in time for our "friends"

Imam Reza is the alternative stadium (which I still think is very unfair to Iranian clubs and the national team)

Whoever the contractor was on this project was either a huge scammer or just an idiot (or both).

Imam Reza Stadium and Foolad Stadium in Ahvaz have more complicated roof structures and they have had their roofs finished for over a year.
Khejalat nemikeshan. That's whats sad about this.

The saddest part about all this is thaT even the foolad and imam reza stadiums that seem to be the most modern stadiums in Iran are still based on the old concept of how stadiums should be built. e.g running tracks, visible tunnels around the pitch, large distance between the fans and the pitch, cheap chairs, concrete based designs etc.

We are at least two decades behind with our latest stadiums and the worrying part is that some of the contractors and designers are foreign.

In Iran, they use the concept of tracks around the field as a crow management method. People in charge do not want the spectators/fans to be right against the field.

Running tracks are always going to be there whether you like or not. This is not England, crowds are often dangerous in Iran, just look what happened this year for Persepolis in Ahvaz.
