Another unfinished case is the Minarood Stadium in Shiraz. This is a rather hopeless project as the stadium is under construction since almost 20 years!

                So a question folks,

What is our current in-use most modern stadium in Iran? Is it still Azadi? If yes, then khaak bar sare IR!
I know this is weird, because it's never a good idea to meet someone from the internet in real life. I don't recommend it either (for those who are reading).

But if I ever make my way back to the west coast again, we should totally hang out man

I've known you for 7 something years now on PFDC, you're a chill dude Keano jan.

One day, for an Iran or Persepolis match in L.A.

So many great looking stadiums, and yet 0 teams playing in them.

Gol Gohar Sirjan is owned by biggest Iron ore mine in Iran and Middle East. It is a very rich company, so they can afford to build some decent pitch and swimming pool. Many clubs don't have rich patrons like this in Iran. Yet Gol Gohar football team is a shitty team in Azadegan league.

Lol I know right. So sad and disappointing.

Sepahan, a team with so much history and pride. In my honest opinion, Sepahan stands out and is just as respectable and fan based as Persepolis and Esteghlal.

One wonders sometimes that maybe the government fears that Sepahan will gain the same popularity as Persepolis and Esteghlal. Maybe they fear if Sepahan is as popular they cannot control them.

I don't believe in too much conspiracy theories, but this one could make sense. I remember in 2009 Esfahan had the heaviest of riots during the protests.

Anyways, not to get thrown off topic. I respect Sepahan too much as a club. I'm a fan of our league regardless of all the negatives. Sepahan deserves a stadium just as big and just as good as Azadi. No question about that.
