We have less teams than Japan finishing last in the group - at least that made my day!

      Al-Hilal 2 - Al-Sadd 1 (FT)

South Korea now has 4 teams in the knock-out stages, this is very impressive IMO.

            I wouldn't mind some Iranians in K-League.

So, the two Japanese teams in groups E & F (Osaka & Reysol) finished on top of their respective groups (Buriam eliminated on head-to-head record in a 3-way tie!).

That makes the composition of teams advancing to the second round (numbers in brackets show the total spots allotted to each country):

              S. Korea: 4 teams (4)
              Japan: 2 teams (4)
              China: 2 teams (4)
              Vietnam: 0 teams (1)
              Thailand: 0 teams (3)
              Australia: 0 teams (3)

And so far, West Asia looks as follows (number of stars denote teams still having a chance to make it)

              Saudi Arabia: 2 teams (4) + *
              UAE: 2 teams (4)
              Qatar: 1 team (3) + *
              Iran: 0 teams (4) + * *
              Uzbekistan: 0 teams (4) + *

Too bad because dispite of Jeonbuk being one of the richest club in Asia, Other K-League sides are financial poor and they don't have the money to buy good quality Iranian players, and the fact only three asian players playing in K-League shows the League currentlly has no plan to develope Asia Market.

playing in the J-League and CSL is different as both of the League provides good salary, European style facilities etc, and both leagues shows great interests of signing AFC players

I have been following J-League for 2 years now, it hardly looks like Asian football. Many good players like Hulk from Brazil are also a product of the Japanese football system.

These leagues like CSL and J-League would be good for our 30+ players to play nice football on relatively competitive level there and get a decent paycheck. Our young talents should aim for Euro moves.
