Fit's amazing how IFF is so ignorant and dismissive about south American coaches. It's like they have a mental block or their IQ is so limited, not to see there are plenty of south American coaches who may be just as cheap or affordable as people they are running after. They CERTAINLY will be cheaper than CQ.
Amazing how stupid and incompetent our officials are
^ Rest assured that CQ's salary is not the problem

TEHRAN - Former Persepolis and Shimizu S-Pulse manager has been linked with Iran national team vacant job after rumors suggested that Carlos Queiroz didn’t reach an agreement with Iran Football Federation.
Ghotbi, who was fired as the head coach of first division J. League club Shimizu S-Pulse last month, is currently without a team but has offers from Japan, South Korea and China. He led Persepolis to the title in 2006-07 season in his first year in charge with the red giant unable to repeat this success since then.
In an interview with Fars News Agency, Ghotbi discussed his conditions and rumors linking him with Iran job. Following are excerpts of the interview:
Mr. Ghotbi, Iranian media has been linking you with Iran and Persepolis job these days, what is your opinion?
I’ve had a lot of good memories in Iran and all the Iranian fans remain in my heart. After three and a half years I still receive kind messages from Persepolis fans. I will be ready to help my country whenever they need me but neither the IFF nor Persepolis have contacted me.
Do you have any other offers?
Yes I have some offers from China, Japan and South Korea but I’m waiting for the season to finish and then a decision will be made.
Since you left Team Melli, Ashkan Dejagah and Reza Goochannejhad have been added. What is your opinion?
I discovered Ghoochannejhad. I travelled to Netherlands to watch him play. We wanted him to play for the national team but it never happened. I was also in contact with Ashkan Dejagah's father and coach but it did not work out for him to play for Iran. If I had Goochannejhad and Dejagah in the 2011 AFC Asian Cup I would have definitely led Iran to the title."

Hell mr Ghotbi, even the fans on PFDC can discover iranian players outside Iran but can they get them to play for Iran?
It is not an accident that Ghotbi or any vatani coach would not be able to get players like Gucci and Ashkan to play for Iran. CQ could do that as he weighted heavily on respect for his reputation as well as his mental strength and power of persuasion.

^ I agree, IFF rid, there's no time. Outsider foreign coach must come after AC. We must face the fact that CQ is gone..
Well kranjar is definitely not an option after kafashian denying talking to him and hed look like a jackass if he did end up taking over.
If for any reason were not successful, CQ and his tactics will not be the one to blame, in fact the finger will be pointed at IFF for takin so long and not preparing the team which is true. 3months to go and we dont have a coach. Its a win-win for CQ cus even if he gets sacked ,hell be paid a full year of salary and his reputation won't be damaged as he will explain in his interviews that everything was IFF fault.
Seriously I have no expectations of TM in AC. Who do we think we are? Asian teams are getting better by the day. Ill be amazed if we make it to the semi.
CQ will get us to the Asian Cup final with 3 weeks to go, one arm tied behind his back, one leg chopped off and finally only vision in one eye. This is not the World Cup.
Bring him on and he will deliver.

^^ I hope so but your being unrealistic. Cq or not, our players are not ready. Lets not forget where our two super stars are playing. I dont even know if pooladi will play, hes in Qatar with no team. Arabs will do anything to not let us come past the group stage and they dont need to do much if we continue like this.
