    Very well said!

IMO this was his same problem when he coached PP. That team had so much talent and he didn't manage to even come close to maxamizing that teams potential in the ACL or in the league!

What makes this loss even worse is that it wasn't just some average Iranian youth team, but a team with the likes of Sharifi, K.Rezaei, Mosalman, A.Karimi etc..

If we lose it's IFF's fault. If we win it's 100% the effort and experience of the foreign head coach.

Great to see our football has come such a long way in the past 4 years under CQ. Soon we will be parking the bus against Vietnam to avoid these results. Keep up the good work.

            kos nagu!
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

What do you expect from a team that doesnt even have proper food and proper training.

              Comment

Poor training, bad run up, no test games, few stars left out, .... and more excuses don't really justify this misery.

Lets examine. This is Vietnam we're speaking of. Not Japan. And we are Iran and with a team with plenty of star players to carry the game against Asian minnows like Vietnam.

If we had lost to Japan or south Korea, I'd have accepted all these silly excuses.
                But lowly Vietnam?
That too not by a single lucky, sucker punch goal. By FOUR freaking goals?
With such a shambolic defensive display ... made even more embarrassing as we had star players like Khanzadeh in defense?

To make any ...ANY excuses for this misery is to make an ass out of one's self.

So this is why when someone claims ''foreign'' coaches outright trump any vatani ones, without considering who and what, is basically am idiot who is totally blind.

It's Vietnam!!! We should beat them even with B/C squad and bad preparation!!!

Areh baba vatani coach would have done wonders for this team. Everything from the get go about this team screamed disaster. From Olympics committee's interference and insistence that they use over-aged players in order to medal at the games, to crappy preparation, to not knowing what the final squad will be until literally days before sending them off to china due to lack of coordination w/ clubs, and to players being forced to eat crackers in China. These same fools got Iran eliminated the last time for using an ineligible player.

The entire fundamentals are wrong. This is the difference between volleyball and football in Iran.

Football in Iran is run by poor managers, has lots of money, a league with no joy, excitement or talent yet grows every day like some sort of sickness. Not even 1% of the money in the sport has been invested in youth. Very few push for this and most are only interested in the short term.

Volleyball on the other hand has had good youth teams for almost 15 years now. We have a league that focuses on quality over quantity and every single club has a great academy.

38 years has not been to the Olympics in football and everyone keeps repeating the same damn mistakes.

This is either Vingadas fault, or the IFF's.
Where the fvck did CQ show up from lol

bloody bloody defensive playing style everywhere in our football, one striker attacks, since ghotbi and cq has penetrated in our boys, coaches and everyones football mentality. Why the japanese, koreans and even today vitanamese are succesefull is their organzied attacking manner, attacking with many strikers to confuse the opponents defence, hamleye moghol attcking tactic, not like us attacking always with merely one single bloody ass.
ack che begam, fuck off, it is just an intelligence matter, a simple one, though our coaches do not seem to have got it, never so far.

fortunately I did not watch the match, so can anyone give me a quick summary? Were we outplayed? Or did Vietnam finish 4 of there 5 chances and we only finished 1 out of 20? Who was at fault for the goals?
