The Iran - Iraq match was a satisfying victory but the performance wasn't anything to write home about. In fact, I'd say our best match was the Iran - UAE match in the 2011 Asian Cup where we fielded our 'reserve' players (i.e. Gordan, Hadadifar, M. Nouri, Afshin, Gholami). That was a really entertaining performance by Iran.

Iran Vs. South Korea in Seoul. What's on the line? Qualification to World Cup 2010. Iran did amazing in that match and even got up to an early advantage courtesy of a goal scored by non other than whom we had tons of high hopes for, Masoud Shojaei. Unfortunately Korea came back to tie that match and we missed the world cup.

Edit it was 0-1, we played rlly smart that game. And a bit of luck

Hmm.. This is a hard one. I'll have to think about it for a while.. A few matches come to mind though. One is the 6-1 win over qatar in the 2008 WAFF Cup, the win we needed to get vs the uae in the Azadi for South Africa 2010, the 3-1 AFC Asian Cup Qualification victory over Singapore in early 2010, and of course the sweet sweet, SWEET! 6-0 win over bahrain. Ohh man.. I don't know exactly. I guess my vote goes to the 6-0 win over bahrain because we played a good match and deserved the win. What I mean is, it wasn't just the goals. We actually passed the ball around, created space and capitalized. You could tell there was chemistry if you watched the game. This is a tricky one though!
