In today's European2012 games Germany beat Greece 4-2. Greece obviously played a compact defense formation yet it was beaten badly. The strategies used by Germans included crosses from left and right, heavy shots from around the box and attacking from the middle. These tactics created so many different chances for Germany and four of them were converted to goals. I believe this game can be a learning lesson for our own TM since we constantly play against compact defense especially Arab nations.
Against Qatar we basically used crosses but much less or none of the other two tactics. plus the quality of our crosses were not as good as Germans. However, the question is why Germans are so successive but not TM. One thing for sure I noticed is that when Germans attack the entire team move in a way to create open spaces at several locations in the Greek side of the field. That made Greeks constantly guessing and made them wonder where Germans will attack next. It was that constant movement by Germans that eventually brought the Greeks down. We all know very well that our TM plays rather stationary and our players like to run with the ball instead of playing with the ball and involve others.
In short, I believe lake of movement in our TM force them to play one dimensional football and that makes it much easier for opponent to read our hand and stop our affords. So German-Greece game is a good lesson for our TM to learn how to play against a compact defense and CQ should take a note of that in MHO.
I will add a video of the goals as soon as a good quality video is available.

when watching this game I was thinking the same as you do and hoped that the Iranians would learn something from this almost
scientific match. I wished that they would use this match as learnng material and force TM players and others to watch it at least 10 times and discuss it collectivly then.
This game was the best match during the Euro 2012 and one of the best matches within football in general. A perfect match like from picture books. There is very very much to learn from this game.

Yes but Greece attacked every time Qatar doesnt even pass the middle of the field Qatar and Greece are not the same

This is how it sounded in Albanian:

The Sports University of Cologne gives the national team always 500 Pages of analysis about the next opponent. Germany knows the opponent better than they themselves. And they even make a 10 minute video for the national team with the analysis. Here everybody is working together to help the national team become Europechampion. And even when they lost 1 month ago 5:3 to switzerland nobody gives a damn, but we iranians are only waiting for a bad result or a bad game then we can start screaming like pu....

Hey not all of us think that way. but for the most part, most Iranians just overly wrongfully emotional towards TM. If we use logic every time, then we would maturely about our TM. At the end of the day the more unneccessary hashyeh we create, the worst results team melli will get. they need nothing BUT SUPPORT FROM ALL OF US. talking shit wont get us to WORLD CUP 2014.

The match was 4-2, not 4-1, Greece scored a valid penalty close to the end of the match.
Also notice the crosses the Germans make are ON THE GROUND, whereas ours are always in the air.
