When I watched the Australia-Japan game the commentator said that Cahill is most likely going to a team in the middle east and he had said in an interview that he "loves the middle east" or something like that. I assumed that he meant a team in Qatar or the UAE, but you never know.

I understand what you're saying and agree with you to an extent. However, players like Cahill and Neil who have played in top-tier leagues can be an instrumental influence to Iranian football and youth on their experience and knowledge of the game.

Cahill and Neil are still world class players IMHO.
They're not young but very experienced and still in great physical shape.
Cahill was magnificant against Japan.
I doubt they would come to Iran though

Age doesn't matter, skill and talent does. Look at the likes of Giggs who continuously impresses and players in EPL standard with his age. It's laughable how many of you always point out age when our best player in Iran, Ali Karimi, is the oldest as well. Don't forget who showed tremendous gheyrat and skill against Qatar...

Sepahan has a chance to make history and become a dynasty in Iran. I wish them all the very best! They are representing the great nation of Iran and need the support of its people regardless of team affiliation.
