Can TM do this in Qatar too?

It is never easy to play against Pack Arab defense when the entire team defending in and around the box and counting on speedy lucky counter-attack. I remember vividly TM with likes of Daei, Kia, Hash, Neko, Azizi and so on lost against Jordan in Azadi under very similar circumstances as in Iran-Qatar game on June 12th. TM lost 1-0 to Jordan and we almost missed WC2006.

However in the return leg in Jordan under all kind of unfavorable conditions against TM our boys delivered and made us proud. There in Jordan we gave them a lesson in front of their king and his English queen. Despite the fact that Arabs played like animals hitting our players left and right and the Korean ref just simply ignored it all. You will see in the video bellow that our %100 penalties were not awarded by that garbage Korean ref too. The video speak for itself enjoy. Only I am looking forward for the repeat of it in Qatar too! Our boys are capable of doing it since Qatar will not play pack defense at home because they need all 3 points.

i remember this game i was eating KFC zinger meal while watching this game

Back to the topic yes, since qatar won't be playing defensive all the way , i believe we can beat them! It all depends on the tactics chosen by CQ ! if he want to use some simply tactics then i would say no!

If Iran can make an early goal then yes for sure. If u look at the game untill the first goal Iran is having possesion most of the match and is making the game in the same way we have seen them do for ever. alot of slow passes and half chances followed by half shots by clumbsy forwards lacking that killer instinct.

After the goal its a diffrent game. Iran is getting alot of space which our technical fast players utilise but not that well. To many solo's and bad slow passes followed by again bad finishes.

This is really the way I always remember Iran in Asia specially against Arabs. A dominant strong Iran creating 2 dozen half chances followed by bad finishes and Arabs killing time and defending with 9 or 10 men behind the ball.

Lack of creativity, proper fieldplay, descipline and times even technique prevents the better team breaking through the defence. And except for Daei in his glory days we never have great finishers. We always need 20 chances to score 2.

Qatar was solely playing for a draw. They can't afford anymore draws if they want to qualify for the WC. They will eventually loosen up and will be picked up by TM. I believe in CQ and TM. We all need to support them.

i think TM plays better away than home.. they are under the immense pressure of the iranian people since they have a very high expectation... i think even more than the qataris did.. but they will win for sure.. since qatar will play open.. and thats when they get beaten very bad..

Well not sure if TM can beat the Qataris in a summer game, as you know starting from June 1st temperatures soar to over 40C! I know for a fact our boys have complained bitterly about this in the past, although I didnt see any Korean player complaining when they won last week! ALso, The Qatar away game is one of the last ones towards the end of the competition so I'm hoping TM can qualify way before this!....

TM usually plays under much less pressure in away games. In the previous WC TM did not lose any of its away games. So I give them a chance to a victory for TM in Qatar or at least a tie. .

TM beat Bahrain 6-0 in Azadi, so it doesn''t mean pressure of the fans have always an impact in a home game..

What went unnoticed in this video is the way that fat attendant gestured to Ali Daei to leave right after he gave the gift to the prince. It's as if he's talking to to a 12 year old
