^ Don't forget that they were really demoralized by TM last Sunday.

True but it's getting too late for them to bounce back.
All their good players were back and yet they performed worse than Iran game!

I think the best they can do is to finish 3rd to make it to their usual spot : play-off. I wish them the best against Qatar though.

Even in that case, they will most likely play Iraq. If they don't get ABRAMOV back or don't get themselves together, they will be crushed by Iraq.

Big mistake: sacking Abramov. Stupid move.

All that tells me is that we must not underestimate Lebanon and we cant lose simple points for the next few games.

Qatar is going to play compact defense against TM so we must score an early goal to break them up. These Arab teams are scared of TM that in most cases they play compact defense. Last time around in Tehran we scored two early goals against Qatar so i believe CQ knows what to do and have the proper players to do it.

Yeah, and we also have to take full-advantage of our set-pieces. Of the 3 goals we scored against them last round, 2 goals were off set-pieces. Aghili Header in Qatar and also Dejegah Free kick. So we have to make sure to take our opportunities!

We can't afford to make any mistakes against qatar this Tuesday. We need to use ALL our opportunities wisely and defeat them in Tehran. They will come out in the Azadi, and they will play defensive football relying on their counter-attack. Like most of the people in this thread have said, we need to score an early goal like we did against bahrain, and continue the attack. Remember, this game is not the same as the one in February. It's a different time and a different group with different expectations. We are not going for anything except a WIN. I have a feeling we will easily pass qatar.

    Let's go Team Melli IRAN!!!!!!
    FOREVER GULF
