Hopefully CQ will use an attacking lineup like this

    Khalatbari- Ansarifard- Dejagah
    Nekounam---Jabbari--Teymourian
    Pouladi--Hosseini--Montazeri--Heydari
    Rahmati

"Either seem as you are or be as you seem."

We missed Aghili's presence too, I would keep him in the team.

As usual, closed until shortly before the game. Sorry Siavash aziz, feel free to open a pre-match discussion thread until this one is re-opened.

This thread is very valuable, so let me post it here as well:

-TM legend Mehdi Mahdavikia has come out and criticised those bashing TM and making their win against Uzbekistan seem like something that was handed to them by the referee

-He is very happy that we won this game and believes this was our most important game of the WC qualifications

-TM needs her fans beside her more than ever and he is surprised that TM's win is being scrutinized to this extent by fans and the media alike

-It seems some people were just waiting for the chance to unleash a rash of criticism and finally got their chance to do so

-These events are not to the benefit of TM at all and will have negative consequences on the morale of the team later on

-Being lucky and getting a bit of help from the referee happens to all teams. Before this, we had been unlucky in games with regards to refereeing decisions on numerous occasions. But, no one drew this much attention to bad refereeing decisions that went against us, as they are now when luck, for once, is on our side

-By extending these talks any further and drawing more attention to it leaves open the possibility that refereeing will be heavily biased against us in future matches

-As a former TM player, I know what type of negative impact these talks have on a player's psyche

-Instead of having these conversations we should be happy TM won and work to boost our players confidence

My Take: We always talk about how TM plays very emotional in important games and messes up a number of clear goal scoring opportunities; this can be clearly traced back to the players having low self-confidence and lacking belief in their abilities. A large part of this is our fault, as we place such high expectations on our team and expect them to dominate Asian opponents without realizing that this is 2012, and many teams are spending billions on their football while we have to scratch and claw for a friendly match.

For the sake of TM and the dream of reaching the World Cup in Brazil, lets stop making the Uzbek game seem trivial and bring up the refereeing again and again and again. We get it, they need to improve their game and get better, and believe me the players and the coaching staff are the first to acknowledge that. I don't think we understand just how damaging our criticism is to these players and the type of effect it has. Before people bring up the same old nonsense that these are profesional athletes and should know how to deal with criticism and accept it, I say the only thing professional about our football is our players' salaries.

Even in Europe, the reigning world player of the year, Lio Messi, has been unable to perform for Argentina the way he has for Barcelona and many believe the root of this to be the unrealistic expectations that people in Argentina have of him duplicating the exploits of Maradonna. If a player of Messi's calibre can fail to produce for his country due to unrealistic expectations and constant criticism, then why should our players be any different. If you love this team then you will sink or swim with her willingly, anyone who wants off the ship can get off now.

SO Qatar lost 4-1 to SK. At the end they look really tired and beat up. Next Tuesday we must punish them really good and get the 3 points. Obviously Qatar will play pack defense and contour-attack in the hope of a tie or even a win. CQ must take a note of this and prepare accordingly.

I think Uzbek is overrated. They got lucky once and beat Japan. They might be a physical game but do not have professionalism in their spirit. They fall short on big days. They could not even beat Lebonnon.

    Now :
    S. Korea 4 Qatar 1
    Lebonnon 1 Uzbek 1

This means after game 3 if Iran beats Qatar, things become pretty much clearer. So far all 3 underdogs are in awful shape while the favorites seem to be heading to Brazil. This Qatari team with such defense cannot cause any problem for us

I repeat, if we win in match day 3, things will be very bright let's hope so.

    Cheers
