no "average" middle-eastern player gets to put on the uniform for la liga ...... sad to say, but an iranian player already has the odds stacked against him because of his nationality. The fact that he gets minutes with Osasuna is clear proof that he is head and shoulders above IPL players. Once he is recovered, CQ will insert him in the lineup. You can take that to the bank.
OH, SHIT!
There are people who should not even talk about football! You are spitting on our only decent striker in the post-Daei. If the TM has been hoping for a place in the World Cup 2010 until the end, it was thanks to players like Nekounam and Shojaei, our unique legionnaires from 2007 to 2010, because Hashemian and Mahdavikia were on retirement. You're spitting on a striker who played and scored regularly in a team of average rank in the best league in the world, arguing that Meydavoudi and Rezaei are better than him. But reasoned when you talk? Have you all forgotten that if we had qualified in South Africa, it was only thanks to his goals? Have you all forgotten the spectacular goal against Saudi Arabia? Obviously, our defense has ruined his efforts undergoing two goals at home against the Saudis. I am the first to say that he is not the best. Despite the talent and european training, he is a striker discontinuous, and sometimes, in front of the goalkeeper, he makes enormous nonsense. The most famous of these cases is the huge missed opportunity in the Real Madrid-Osasuna match. Dejagah or Gucci are better than him.But all players have flaws, we are Iran. Not Brazil. Khalatbari, despite his speed and his technique in the field behaves like a selfish idiot. But as our national team, a player with some skills coached by Diego Armando Maradona remains important. Karimi is no longer young. He no longer has the legs of years ago. When he tries to make a dribble, he fails. But we never give up his international experience, his vision, his charisma? But a player who has just had the chance to play against Real Madrid striker is worth more than any of the IPL. Especially if he is under thirty. When Nekounam was injured at that age, everyone took it for over. Watch it now! Someone could ever imagine, now that we have Dejagah, if cames Gucci, and if returns Shojaei, how would be our forward? Dejagah, Gucci, Khalatbari, Shojaei, Khalatbari, and, in my opinion, Ghazi (because we always need a good striker with the brain, tall and strong, and right now we only have him) and Ansarifard (because he's young, and he is our greatest talent, can improve a lot and go to Europe). Meydavoudi and Rezaei are like Oladi, Bohrani, Madanchi. Average iranian players, talented but not trained. But do you think they are more deserving of playing in the TM compared to Shojaei. In fact they were just players like Shojaei to keep alive our national team in years of crisis after 2006 .. and was one of the few to continue to keep our name in Europe. But rightly so, if Meydavoudi takes a few goals in IPL deserves better, even if rightly has not done anything concrete for the Iranian national team. I do not understand.

Careful you dont laugh too hard :-) Picture ansarifard in that same situation, or in most situations, and he is supposed to be our savior
Shojaie Is by far a better player under pressure than any IPL player we have today. The fact that he was given minutes against the top 3 team in the world should leave no doubt...... Unless of course we start doubting osasunas expertise for the game

Ofcourse where you play, matters ....you don't get the "big game" experience playing with Mes Kerman in front of 6000 fans... CQ has low confidence in the quality of IPL and deservedly so. The fact that he inserted Ashkan into the lineup in a qualifier without any experience playing with the other iranian players should leave no doubt what he thinks of our domestic league. Heck, he even said IPL is not a professional league ....I wouldn't be surprised if we see Gucci in the starting lineup against Uzbakistan, and this is the Belgian league.
As for where in the lineup he goes in, I would have no problems replacing Khalatbari or even an aging Karimi with a healthy and fully recovered 27 year old shojaei.
Khalatbari has 45 national games under his wings ......he is a attacking midfielder with only 2 goals ???? one against russia in a friendly and 1 against the maldives LOL. Fine, he dribbles alot, he is entertaining ...... but so are the harlem globetrotters ..he couldn't make it to Europe, and sadly he is playing in Qatar where he shines the most......he has a low game IQ, and has never seen a passing option he likes. Khalatbari's best moments come when he is inserted midway through the 2nd half where the defenders have tired legs. He needs a wide open game to show his skills. As for Karimi, he will be 34 in a few months. He plays a position that requires stamina and quickness. CQ obviously believes he is a starter, but eventually the biological clock catches up to everybody.

Sure they do. They signed Shojaie and if it weren't for "sarbazi" the same La liga would have singed Oladi couple of years ago.
besides, when you compare Shojaie to "IPL" players you have to understand that IPL is very low in standard. Our so called "better than average players" usually don't make it further than the Dubai/Qatar leagues. So to say Shojaie is head and shoulder above IPL players, is really not a complement to Shojaie, and it actually makes him an average player (non-IPL standard). Dejagah is better than average player that's why he gets far more playing time than shojaie did (when healthy).
When I said he is average at best, I wasn't referring to IPL standard.
I don't buy that. football clubs are not governments. They are in it for the business. If they see someone that fits their plan and for the right price they buy them. Period.
That maybe the case, but that in itself is not proof that he is head and shoulders better than Karimi or Jabari or Ando Teymourian and all three play in IPL.
And the same CQ also took Pejman Nouri back to TM. Ghotbi got a lot of shit from fans for calling Nouri to TM, but as we can see CQ thinks the same about Nouri. I think this is matter of personal opinion of the coaches. One might see one player fit better into his plans than another. This is not an indication that one player is definitely better than the other (one that wasn't called up)

I didn't misunderstand you. and that's why I mentioned in my post that saying TM doesn't need a certain player is not disrespecting that player. We can't call players to TM because we want to show respect to them. I mean, every single list of TM will be missing some players who deserve to be there, are we to say that those players who were not called up were disrespected? I don't think so.
Carlos Qeiroz may want to call him up, I wouldn't. Just like I wouldn't call up Maziar Zareh or Feshangchi to TM, but I am not the coach, he is. the next coach might think otherwise.

Massoud is quite possibly the most overrated TM Player of the last decade or so..!
I agree with NFL, for most part & don't think he will figure much in CQ's TM, especially after Ghoochali joins..!
His best route to possibly becoming somewhat of a regular in CQ's TM offense, is to make a case for himself as a younger, more energetic AK, AM sub..!? Or try to prove overall more worthy winger option to the (Speed& hustle only)GR Rezaie..! If he can adapt better to the LW, then his chances increase that much more ..! His biggest football shortcomings are his Slow decision making & Slow everything else ..! & now u can add injury prone to the list..!
Anyways, a lot will be dependent on how he bounces back from his looooong injury layoff..! Let's prey well..!![]()

BRAZIL 2014 HERE WE COME..!!!

You are forgetting the fact that basically all European leagues (at least the ones that are EU/EEC countries) have restrictions on how many non-EU/EEC players each time can have. So while for example Swedish and Romanian average players may very well be signed by mediocre/bottom-table Italian or Spanish teams, the same teams would probably not be interested in an Iranian even if he was better than these guys.
Most of these teams try to find players in South America and sometimes even Africa, where the general talent level is higher (easier to find solid prospects) and the wages/prices are generally lower. Thus, you must keep in mind that whenever an Iranian player gets transferred to a solid European league, it is kind of a big investment for most teams (since they could have gotten some talented Colombian or Brazilian player instead).
