While I agree that Rahmati's form has dipped, Now is not the time to give Ahmadi a chance, when we are the verge of an important qualification. Perhaps in the friendlies Yes, But Ahmadi has never played for TM and lacks the necessary experience.

I'd still choose Rahmati. If i were you guys though id stop arguing, CQ has 20 years in the game and knows how to fix flaws in the team...

Out of all people , I find it is disappointing that you use such logic in your arguments.

First of all , if you have an argument for or against , it is prudent to give us content , rather than using petulant approach like "No use in arguing " or "Thanks God we have a top professional coach" !!!!

Second , Goalkeepers like Ahmadi , Talebloo, Lak , Haghighi , Hoshiyar , Roudbarian , Makani , and host of others are all legitimate contenders for Team Melli. It is not as if Team Melli's post " mal Babaye Rahmati hast " and no one can lay a claim to it !!!!

Third , if you do not wish to debate or take part in the post , then be prudent and respect the others who do wish to continue debating , instead of being bullish and defiant about it. Is that too much to ask?

Last and not least , for the record , I never claimed or suggested that Ahmadi should replace "Rahmati" because , using your own argument , "we have a top professional coach " to decide.

Although you claim that "CQ has 20 years in the game and knows how to fix flaws" , that did not prevent you from giving us your wisdom and telling us all about Ahmadi and Rahmati !!!! So , where is the meat ??

It seems that we have more people talking on behalf of CQ than CQ himself ever realized !

I just meant that we should trust CQ with his decisions...I am just giving my opinion.

I never said you claimed that. All of the named candidates aren't and have never been special. We know the older ones very well and certainly can say they have little to offer to make a serious claim for TM's number 1, also due to the fact they have been ignored by numerous TM coaches, while from the younger ones only two are regulary playing.

If we talk about serious contenders, it could be Haghighi, who first needs to become more than Rubin's third goalkeeper, Gordan, who is struggling with form much more than Rahmati ever did, Lak, who wasn't even an undisputed U23 number one and that for a very short time and maybe Forouzan, who I admit I can barely judge, but have seen two blunders too in clips, which doesn't give me the impression he is a future number 1 keeper who had completely been overseen everywhere before this season.

According to Behravan starting next season no foreign goal keeper for Lig1.
His reasoning is strange and unbelievable , he even managed to resort to decree by Rahbar !.
He failed to explain if that is the case why only apply to keepers .
During his Q & A with Fars Ayatollahi ( Kafashiam first deputy ) said it differently.

    Follow up:

    Reaction from Perspolis Boss.
He strongly criticised this decision and assured he will fight to change it.

anyone still doubts ahmadi is in a better form and shape than the likes of foroozan, gordan and even rahmati?

so those who blindly follow a coach's call up might want to pause and ask themselves why the most in form keeper in iran isnt in the 33 man list. and perhaps that shd tell them we are all fallible and error-prone ... no matter which country we are from

and btw, putting down ahmadi becoz at one period he was a benchwarmer, .... so that means now that he's doing great, he shd not be considered?
you guys want to take that line ....really?
then explain why rahmati is in TM. he used to be the biggest butt of jokes in Iran for more than a whole season and half. everytime he was seen in the goal (I think at ss), fans moaned and cursed their luck. and he somehow never disappointed them ... in getting them disappointed with how lousy and foolish he kept the goal.
mere mention of "mehdi rahmati" was enough to get ppl laughing their arses off.

    "special"?
yes, rahmati was "special" .. all right. horribly-funny special
    But look now!
within a year, he got his act together and was the most in form keeper in Iran, dislodging everyone else

eventually, we're not saying rahmati is bad or shd be dropped.
we're saying at the moment his form is not as good as it used to be and there are a lot of mistakes and errors seen in his displays. maybe he needs some rest and CQ ought to allow others to fill in, so he wont get complacent also
at the same time, it IS unjustified and illogical to leave out the most in form keeper in iran also

In eight matches since middle of April, Rahmati conceded three goals, keeping a clean sheet five times, helping Esteghlal remaining unbeaten in that time.

Leave him alone and stop promoting a keeper who cost his club millions because he couldn't count to two and played despite suspension.

    lol.
I wish all these stats and numbers would help rahmati when the ball is crossed from flanks and he has to decide whether to come out or not, and when to do so and at what angle the ball's flight is and ... ! will they?

today he made two great saves that reminded me of his in-form days. but at the same time he does wobble and it is this that makes him inconsistent.
like it or not, he needs to rest and sit on the bench for a while. for both physical and psychological reasons

but that sepahan elimination remark was indeed a low blow remark to make and insinuate it is the player who has to bear the blame and not the organization (that logically shd bear the brunt of the blame). I guess martin jan thinks as long as it serves his stance, he can cook up and make up rules. otherwise I am sure we all can cook up stuff to blame many players and coaches. let us know. if it is "open season" on this, then I can start with some of martin's favorite players and coaches you might want to step a few yards back, coz you dont want to get splashed with blood and ripped guts.

but it isnt so. it is sepahan, IFF and Iranian football organization that is at fault for both silly eliminations (sepahan's and omid's) for not bothering to check a simple list.

    **************

I think martin would have been a great player in games like "follow the leader".
hell, I think his attitude makes him the perfect candidate for a soldier. never questioning authority is the hallmark of a fantastic soldier who would rise in ranks quite rapidly, in fact.

Anyone blaming the first Sepahan goal on Rahmati has no clue about football, so don't even try.
