Well, when I analyze a player's number of matches that he's played and has played a lot, that demonstrates experience and consistency. Rahmati has kept great form for about 70 matches, I do not believe we should write him off because of a few blunders. I admit he's in a slump, but the guy's promising and I see him getting out of it soon.

Thanks God that you admit that he is in a slump. That is we are trying to say.
Now...if you have players that are going through a bad patch , and that happens to the best players in the world , the coach needs to have options and solutions rather than sit on his ass saying that he is the one and the only player (keeper) because he played x matches for me.
Despite my criticism , I like to see Rahmati back in form for club and country because that will make things so much easier. But i am worried about this mentality that many coaches and fans have in football and that is sticking to the same old faces regardless to the current form. Iran's football is like that. Once a player makes a name for himself , he is unmovable and probably set for life![]()

I definatly understand your point, but there's no need to panic yet. Rahmati still has 1-2 months to recover his form so I don't think we should jump to conclusions and say we have a goalkeeping problem in the future, I can guarantee Queiroz won't do that.
Shahab and Haghighi are our backups so if the issue continues to arise we have them.

Rahmati once again showed how horrible a form he is in and he just hasn’t fixed his exit problems. In the first half his idiotic exit almost resulted in a goal when he not only took out our own defender (I think emranzadeh), but also missed the ball. And a few seconds later, on another cross (corner), he WEAKLY punches the ball that barely fell outside our 18 and that too DEAD CENTER!!! At the same time Rahman Ahmadi was having a great show with sepahan, deflecting many dangerous shots in Qatar. Just underlines the fact that Rahmati isn’t the best keeper in Iran at the moment.
still we want to refer to what's ON PAPER and reputations?

I think nearly everyone now is realizing how Rahmati's form has dipped.
I don't want to repeat myself , but there is quite a concern with him being the no. 1 GK of Team Melli. On the other hand , Rahman Ahmadi , who has hardly been my favorite Iranian Goalkeeper and has a track record of some bloopers in his career , is performing admirably for Sepahan. Take that !

^ that goal, if there were 3 rahmatis or buffons even , in the goal they wouldnt have been able to block
Did u see the goal at all?

No need to argue with people thinking Ahmadi, who never was even a regular benchwarmer in TM, is suddenly the answer to a problem they invented. Rahmati is the best keeper we ever had, thank God we have a top professional coach at helm of TM so I am not worried some clown will suddenly step in for Rahmati.
