Don't promise us anything, but don't also sit their and prepare excuses for why things will be tougher in Asia than in the World Cup. Even the Europeans and S. American's don't say their regional competitions are tougher than the WC...

Well O-Zone jaan, in a way it is a tougher task than the World cup. However the implication of this claim may be misled/misinterpreted TBH.

By a "tougher task" I am sure he means our expectations of the outcome of the tournaments, to put things in perspective, when you compare these 2 tourneys, it's easy to picture a much lower expectations from the WC as opposed to the AC where a mass majority of the country expects nothing less than an Iran Championship title, if you visit any Iranian sites poll in that regard, you would clearly see how almost 80% of the voters expect Iran to win the title, and consider anything less than a gold a "Failure"

This high expectation itself put the utmost and excruciating stress on each and every TM member, be it the players, its coaching staff etc. Whereas in the WC even a single draws would have sufficed to please us!

I for one 100% believe the AC will be a much more stressful and crucial to shine and impress tournament than the world cup. As a matter of fact any logical football fan would agree with this notion!

When Qotbi promised championships, trophies etc. Everyone jumped on the bandwagon to bash the guy for "gonde goozi" and not delivering and ask him to shut his mouth and stop making big promises, and when another coach refrains from making luxurious promises and tends to stay on the more conservative and reserved side, we again condemn and accuse him of being diplomatic by bringing up excuses for the upcoming 'Failure'

Actuallu people have seem to have forgot, but CQ said before the world cup that by the progress he has seen in the camps, he is sure that he can win AC with TM if they got 2 months to prepare for it. However his wish wasn't really fullfilled, and no country in the world can have 2 months of constant preperation.

European cup is tougher than the WC though.

It is normal CQ is saying Asian will tough, he is making even tougher with his weird selection
