Do you expect TM players to do something in the honour of Mahsa Amini on Friday's gam

    Hey all,

Just wanted to get your perspective on this. As a not very political person, I was thinking and at a time where a lot of young people are supporting a movement including many celebrities and players / actors, etc., I was thinking that if the TM melli players were to just ignore what is happening in Iran (either a black ribbon, silence before the game, something), they may lose a lot of popularity within the people which the TM is supposed to represent and support. I mean, if TM was representing the government, even I, wouldn't be supporting it so closely and for so many years.

What's your opinion? Should they absolutely be doing something regardless of pressure from the federation or any push from any coach / anyone that they should only focus on soccer and not distract themselves with politics.

I think it's actually very critical that they do, which itself may cause separation of unity between the players as we have certain idiots in TM supporting khamenei and the government as well. But I think this TM belongs to the people and should be behind them under all circumstances.

      Friday's game would be pointless.

If they do anything, it should be during the WC.

        Extremely unlikely
Such gestures would be more likely if SKo was in charge, but not with CQ as TM coach.
Individual expression of emotion away from the game is a different story.

I feel this is a subtle dig at Queiroz.

I just hope the match doesn't get canceled like Canada friendly because it's being aired on TV in the States!

Let's hope the players show enough gheyrat to do something good in gesture of Mahsa Amini.

              They should wear black armband.

I can players wearing black wristbands like they did in 2009 against SK where AK8, Nekounam, Kia, and some others wore green wristbands.

I honestly hope not. Our team has already been torn apart by players having differing views on the coach, we need our TM to focus on what holds them together.

It's unlikely to happen with CQ in charge.
He even has control over how players tie their sneakers... the only armband you may see is CQ's red, white, and green.

Would be nice if we didn't join in with the rest of the world's rush to make meaningless political statements at every turn.

Shireh Ali Karimi. Strong words from him. Those idiots calling anyone criticising "zade enghelab" do not understand what enghelab means. Ironic that they themselves are the "zede enghelab" and karimi is the enghelabi one.

It's not meaningless if you're putting your career/livelihood at risk. Depending on the level of the statement, they could risk losing their TM spot (through IFF/IR shenanigans), or worse.

It think a good starting point that would be hard to miss would be that all TM men shave their heads in solidarity with the women cutting their hair in public (Niknafs of SS has already done it).

This is totally BS and they are trying to destroy Karimi. But they will fail again. There is going to be hell
because of these arseholes kharmazahabiz if not now it will happen again and again in the future.
The young generation have absolutely zero tolerance for these backward idiots.
