Not gonna bother with going through ratings for everyone but our finishing was abysmal. Good thing Sardar got us that 1st half goal

Everyone needs 1v1 practice. Hopefully, PAG and Hosseini get good game time before the next round. Khalil and Kanaani aren't good enough for SK, Aus, etc

we won but first half we were poor except when we scored, our defense was so so, midfield was poor, jahanbaksh was poor, gholizadeh was poor , hajsafi was poor, ezatollahi was so so. attack was good, we sub abit late, and our attack didnt take thier chances we should have score 3-4. we won which is great but we didny play very well. it just happen we had amoun and he scored

Generally everyone was poor except Moharammi, Azmoun. Ezzatollahi played well. Beiranvand played well too but I will give him a 0 because he was trying to give me a heart attack towards the end. HAHA

Beiranvand - 6.5 - a little shaky on a few crosses with hesitations and nearly got carded on another. Some nice distributions. The ball handing scared me a bit today.

Hajsafi - 7 - considering the form of others here, he remains a serviceable*LB with the ability to move forward despite his lack of pace. Had some nice passes and crosses. Subbed for Sarlak

            Khalilzadeh - 7 - quietly solid today

Kanaani - 7.5 - I used to be afraid of him bringing the ball up, but did some helpful distribution while we searched for our first goal

Moharrami - 7.5 - excellent going up through these past four games and today showed defensive chops as well. I think he's locked in the RB position and in the nick of time too! That said, earned his second half yellow for some unneeded gamesmanship.

Nourollahi - 6.5 - not sure about that yellow he got, but he plays with heart and hustles, despite not being the best, most insightful or creative player (not that its his job anyhow). Took good care to not get a second yellow, particularly considering his responsibilities. Should've had a goal late in the game.

Ezatolahi - 6 - solid defensively, but I always forget how much of a one-footed player he is...its actually pretty glaring.

Jahanbakhsh - 6.5 - some nice runs on the left. The ref gave him a bad yellow. Subbed for Saman.

Gholizadeh - 5.5 - played very straightforward on the right. Not sure where this creativity is I keep hearing about. At least the crosses were improved today. Missed a point blank shot that he could've also dished to Taremi for an easy 2-0. Subbed for Rezaei.

Taremi - 3.5 - not sure what's up with him physically, where he didn't seem to be able to execute as expected, but there seemed to be head games between him and the Iraqi players. Not sure if him and ARJ play well together.*Picked up a poor yellow running down an Iraqi from behind. Really wasn't by the ref, but Taremi could've avoided (and should've as captain at that point). Lucky to not get a red when he knocked an offsides balls away.

Azmoun - 7.5 - excellent goal, flashed his power and intelligence in this game, but disappeared for other periods. Subbed for MG.

            SUBS

Mohammadi - 4 - love his speed, but can't play unhinged and leave the defense open when he loses the ball up top or dishes a poor cross, which was the case today. Had a clearance land right in front of an Iraqi outside our box.

Ghoddos - 7.5 - moves so well around the pitch, on and off the ball, opening up weaknesses. Really developed into a pro during his time in England; his footballing intelligence shows in terms of playing the situations.

Ghaedi - 6 - also moves well and with pace. Feels like he is always a threat and picked up a foul in his limited time. Missed a goal to end the game. We need to start being results and not potential-oriented with him soon. Would love to see more of him in the midfield and see how he can pass and see the field.

Sarlak - NA - wasn't able to get a strong sense of him today, albeit he was an earlier sub.

Rezaei - NA - played in the midfield for a couple of minutes during stoppage, though to evaluate that. Nice pass to MG that should've ended up in goal in the 95th.

COACH SKOCIC - 7 - you proved the doubters wrong and put an Iran team on the field that got the job done, even with limited resources and friendlies! That said, the level of play needs to increase (defensive coordination and passing in particular).

            ORGANIZATION GRADES FOR THIS MONTH

IRR - 3 - nice media productions, but so many errors in planning: No friendlies. Only one week of training camp. COVID vaccines given out during that week rather than prior. Is Karim B. now off the coaching staff or staying? Hopefully they can at least keep him and get some friendlies in before the next WCQ round in September.

AFC - 0 - you stole hosting rights from Iran for this COVID bubble and gave it to a country riddled with COVID. You can't manage to properly broadcast games around the globe. The fields were 50/50 to be a complete mess. Total imbeciles!

Can someone GIF up Kanaani's defending for that Bashar chance in the opening minute of the second half? It's for evidence when Dragan gets pulled up in The Hague in the international court of justice. Man's got one of the continent's best defenders sat on the bench just so he can be invited to Bagheri's mehmoonis.

No one really stood out to me as our star player today. We gotta work on our finishing we should’ve scored 2-3 more goals easily, thank you Azmoun for that finish (and Hajsafi with a great pass, shocking...)

Kanaani needs to be benched he’s a liability currently, but Shoja has been very good. Our left back situation is concerning right now, however Moharami on the right has been solid! I loved watching Beiro troll the iraqis every chance he got, he seemed very calm. And overall Our players were more calm and less emotional than usual, if they only kept possession more and were more alert up front, this match wouldn’t have even been close.

Thank you to all the players and a big middle finger to Bahrain and the AFC, koonetoon besooze hahaha!!! Their plan backfired completely and made our players more motivated and less stressed hahahah

I think you should probably give some credit to the Iraqi goalkeeper.

As a huge kanani critic he really shut me up and I couldn’t be happier. He was super solid vs Bahrain and especially today against Iraq didn’t leave any room at all for Iraqi forwards and midfielders to do much.

Ehsan was of course another big surprise with a really solid game I was actually hoping Skocic would take off JB instead!

For what? We either shot directly at him or missed the goal entirely like Ghaedi

                            Nobody was great.

                            Good: Shoja, Nourollahi, Sadegh

                            Average: most of the squad

Poor: Ezza (turnovers, slow), Kanaani, Taremi outside of the last 10-15 minutes.
