VERY IMPORTANT! is it goal difference OR head to head that decides it??

    This is important
because if we win next two games but then draw Bahrain and beat Iraq we are on 16 its

if brain draw us and win their two easy games they are also on 16 its

but we have better goal difference
but head to head they have done better which would put us out!

can someone clarify the official Fifa rules on this?

if this is the case they are gonna come and play proper dirty football to get a draw, think they will crumble under the pressure regardless..

      Here is my question:

      a) If IRAQ wins all 3 remaining matches means beating IRAN in Azadi
      b) If BAHRAIN wins 2 matches and lose to IRAN in AZADI
      c) If IRAN wins 3 matches and loses to IRAQ - it will be

      IRAQ - 20 points
      BAHRAIN - 15 points
      IRAN - 15 points.

it means that Iran must beat Bahrain at least with more then 1 goal (2-0) or BAHRAIN might go away, cause it will be goal difference if it ends with 1-0 for IRAN.

        Sorry, this is not important.

4 consecutive wins is expected from TM. Otherwise, Iran better stay home and watch the WC on TV.

you dreaming man, lets get our first 3 wins (Hong Kong at Home, Cambodia Away, Bahrain at Home)

We will not beat Iraq in IRAN.

best possible result for Iran today.

no matter who the coach will be , Iran will win the next 4 matches and will finish first in the group

They look at how many points the second placed team collected before looking at gd, the competition is really tight in all groups unfortunately. In group H for example Turkmenistan is on top ahead of South Korea!!!!!!!!!, the 6 points that we have is very low, we have the same pts as Maldives, Myanmar, and uae......

Hong Kong has 5 points.... we have 6....
Honestly they could be a huge help to us since they are still playing Iraq in Hong Kong so let’s see. I still think we need to kick Shitmots out of Iran as soon as possible and bring another coach by January but that’s super unrealistic tbh considering that our Country is literally bleeding

As said, goal difference won't matter. Either we win all games and qualify as first placed team, or we're out. Period.

Never say never! … Everything is possible. From now till June 2020 a lot of things can change. Iran won't be the same Iran and Iraq won't be the same either! New day, new dynamics, new possibilities!

                      Agreed

My question though is will we still finish in 1st place if we win all remaining matches?

I'm going to be really surprised if we manage to beat Bahrain and Iraq with Wilmots as coach.

Let's say Iraq and Bahrain win their remaining games but still lose to Iran:

                          Iraq: 17
                          Bahrain: 15

If Iran win all remaining 4 games:

                          Iran: 18

If Iran win all but draw or lose Iraq:

                          Draw: 16
                          Lose: 15
